hey guys. i'm trying to set up something to like the photos on my feed without unliking them. long story short, i want to like all of the photos on my timeline constantly. so far the only way that i know how to do this is through !nstagram.com and record an x/y macros to double click the picture instead of the heart button. the problem im running into is that I do not want to like photos within of a few seconds of them being posted because it looks like a bot... otherwise i would just refresh the page every few seconds and like the first photo and just continuously do that. so to get around all that, i'd like to scroll to the bottom of the page and like that photo and then refresh a few seconds later and do the same thing. by x/ying a double click on the actual photo rather than clicking the heart button, it makes sure that i dont unlike the photo if the last photo hasn't changed. the problem is, after any sort of scrolling, it seems like the x/y function doesn't work.

    Code:
    VERSION BUILD=8850919 RECORDER=FXTAB T=1
    URL GOTO=http://instagram.com/
    WAIT SECONDS=5
    url goto=javascript:window.scrollBy(0,20000)
    WAIT SECONDS=1
    CLICK X=533 Y=14660
    CLICK X=533 Y=14660
It gives me unknown error once it reaches the line to x/y click. how can i fix this?

Havent used iMacros really with Instagram, but why are you using x,y location instead of the button tag?

    Wow. thats amazing.

so far the only way that i know how to do this is through !nstagram.com and record an x/y macros to double click the picture instead of the heart button.

Since I havent used a macro myself to do this myself, I am not sure what issue you are facing. Dont they have a change in the tag when the image is liked? If its liking the first pictures, if you go my id of the button, you can always avoid the first few and like from the next. Well, since I have no personal experience on this certain scenario, only way I can help is ask for whats the issue and give a solution. Thats what I have been trying to.

just updated to 7 and tried to record the double click event but it doesnt work. the weird thing is that x/y double click works fine on the first image at the top of the page, it just doesnt work after the scroll, which is weird to me.

you didn't read far enough. read my whole post. i painted it out.

if i click on the button it will unlike the photo if i already have liked it. double clicking the photo likes the photo but does not unlike the photo.

Figured that out already now. Went to instagram and tried making a simple macros, and now I know what you are talking about.

If you cant figure out a way to do this via iMacros,(I will let you know if something pops up in my head.) your last option would be using Sikuli to automate. (Try it.) The api has a limit of 100 likes per hour.

I'm going to guess it has to do with the fact the scroll is using the url command.
have you tried using TAG to select the element to scroll to and then the x/y double click?

    from the faq

sorry man done some goofing but you almost need to combine two modes to make it work.
    i tried something like this
    but got this error
TypeError: details.target is null, line 5 (Error code: -1001)

what about going about it another way - you are worried about looking like a bot for liking the top image immediately - can you just put a large delay (like a couple minutes?) and that way you don't need to scroll - you can like the top image but not right away.

the problem with that is i'm already missing some posts with like a 10 second delay. doesnt really matter because of the limits anyway, but anything more than like 30 seconds kind of defeats the purpose because i'd be missing all kinds of photos.

wait, why did you upgrade/downgrade to version 7? it isn't the latest version, they are at 10 now, if we talk about the standalone imacros browser and not the firefox addon
i'm using version 9 w/o any problem though, but i can imagine that version 7 is pretty outdated by now, not saying it will solve the problem in a heartbeat, but worth a try
try both the FF addon and the standalone browser, they act different in certain cases, you should use them accordingly

head over to members download section, version 9, version 10 is available there

on the other hand, i prefer the FF addon over the standalone browser, but i found the latest version of the FF addon buggy, so i downgraded to a previous version, see why: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...8-5-freezes-you-unexpectedly-lately-read.html

i figured out the problem and can use it in firefox now too.
the problem was x/y recording the double click after the scroll. it doesnt know where the cursor is at because the page has been scrolled.
to get around it, i scrolled to the bottom of the page and took a mental screenshot of where the photo is located on the page after the scroll. then i recorded they x/y double click where the photo WOULD be after the scroll, but without doing the scrolling (top of the page instead of the bottom). then i simiply added the scroll script in the line before the double click, so the double click thinks its still at the top of the page.

    Code:
    VERSION BUILD=8850919 RECORDER=FXTAB T=1
    URL GOTO=http://instagram.com/
    WAIT SECONDS=4
    url goto=javascript:window.scrollBy(0,20000)
    WAIT SECONDS=1
    CLICK X=563 Y=124
    CLICK X=563 Y=124
