I'm thinking about hiring a PPC Expert from Elance.com

Hey IamNRE I just got an Adwords manager on board and I am trying to expand my portfolio. He is pretty good at it. If you want I can hook you up with him and maybe he can do it for free if you want. Let me if you ( or anyone here ) would be interested. More than happy to help a fellow BHW member out :)

Thank you kindly.

I'll send ya a PM.

I have worked with a few "adwords specialist" and my experience has not been great. I think the biggest problem is they don't have a strong understanding of your market, and most importantly your customer. If you are doing things right, there is no way an outside person who just specializes in PPC management will be able to compete with you. That said, they do have some good ideas on getting customer's attention with different wording in ads.

My advice would be to take your knowledge of your market, learn all you can about adwords, and spank your competition.

Why would anyone make money for someone else, if they can run same PPC campaigns with their accounts and make a lot more?

Anyway, my point is I doubt the quality of potential freelancers work

According to your opinion. No digital marketing individual or company exist in the world.

OP: Hit me up with a PM as well, I have a very interesting optimizer to recommend for this job :p

"Elance" and "Expert" should never go in the same sentence.

And why is that? An expert would never offer his services on a freelance site or what?

Good thread, I'm actually in this same boat at the moment! I've been looking on freelancer (used to be vworker), not tired Elance but will have a look!

I am on Elance and do a lot of business there. I own a small PPC agency and it's an easy way for me to find clients. I do this for a living and I am Google certified and train at Google HQ a few times a year. I use it because people look there for contractors. I'm USA based and very reasonable priced. PM me and you can see my profile.

Google managers help me a lot, but you never have to forgot that their aim is more traffic, not conversions )) So you have to think yourself before to take manager's advices in work.

I usually work with my customers on rev share basis in Adwords. This way we all know that we need profits instead of traffic. I wouldn't work with experts how charge you fee per traffic volume.
If you want you can PM me to dicuss what you want to get from PPC.

There are loads of guides out there that explain PPC in detail and are full of tips and tricks. I'd maybe look at some of them, dabble in it to see if your getting results and if not hire him?

I hired a guy from croatia from odesk. He was not quite as much of an expert as I expected but he did know a lot. He also made a lot of good changes to my campaign. All in all, it was well worth the $100 I spent. Since then, I just got Adwords Certified myself and watched a bunch of trainings I got from the vault....that is the best option.

I offer PPC on a performance basis as well. Only work with certain clients, but am open to discussing your situation if you're still looking.

@ Laubster

I'm no longer looking.

Thanks

Did you get in contact with an elancer named Yasmin Ahmed?
She is pretty good. But, very busy.
Her reviews are glowing and seems to be hard-working (which is required if you want to optimize your campaigns further for better conversions)

Hi Shapsp:

I'm thinking of using Yasmin to manage my PPC campaign. Do you still view your experience with her as positive and worthwhile? Has she increased your sales via her expertise?

I'm an adwords expert on elance...and hey....I'm on BHW as well...
I can't be that bad :P
