I decided to drop ship for a guy that wholesale laptops! I've done it in the past and thought he was a legit.

I dropshipped 4 laptops on ebay, and I made sure I thoroughly stated in the description that the laptops are on backorder and will not be available until in 3 weeks. They send the money and I send the money to the "wholesaler". Well now the buyer is deciding he doesn't want to wait... or he's just trying to make up an excuse as if he didn't know that it will take that long to ship. After I stated in big read letters in the description.

But now the wholesaler isn't answering and I have no money in my paypal to refund him. I initiated a refund last night to him although I have no funds in my paypal balance. It says PENDING. I have two other orders that I may have to refund as well.. but I have some money left to refund one of the other buyers, I might just have to get his contact info and refund him offline or maybe through my sister's paypal account if they choose to close mines down after this one.

I regret trying to dropship. what's going to happen? All I care about is these people getting their money back.. I'll be okay if they get their money back and I just owe paypal because I will use my paychecks to pay off paypal.

I just need to know what to do here... should I reach out to ebay and let them know what's going on?

It doesn't sound like you tried dropshipping, it sounds like you flat out got scammed by the "wholesaler". Best thing to do now is chargeback on your payments to his, refund the initial buyer that's asking for a refund and then get ready to refund the other 2.

Most important thing you can do - communicate. Keep that buyer in the loop. Contact him more often than you probably think you need to.

Just being up front & honest with people will actually go a long ways. Buy you time while you figure out what to do $$ wise.

Don't tell ebay you are dropshipping though cause it's against their tos.

Contact your wholeseller to cancel your order. If you ordered from Aliexpress everything will be fine

Sorry for the situation you are going through. Right now, what I advise you is to complain to that wholesaler that in any case has not been pronounced. The important thing apart from these people recovering their money, is that your reputation is not affected. It is not your fault that is actually happening. Quiet, and good luck man
