I'm overwhelmed. Where do I start?

I've been searching through these forums and reading just about sticky and many more threads but there are just so many different methods of internet marketing that I don't know how to start. That along with dozens of terms and acronyms I've never heard of is causing quite a bit of confusion. But I'm still excited and eager to learn and get my feet wet in the business. Is there a beginners guide that would give me an overview of all the acronyms and methods of making money, which businesses and programs I should get and stay away from, and which method of marketing I should try first? If not, could I ask you guys some questions? Thanks in advance.

Thank you that was just the kinda thing I was looking for. Which method do you think would be best for me to try out first? I don't want to start out with something too difficult.

I'm suggesting you to start out with Youtube + PPD.

It's easy - both on the skills and investments needed, and it will hopefully give you some initial money to use for bigger projects once you have gotten the basic grasp of the PPD game.
 
Just take a stab and pick any method and dont waste time 'being excited'
 
Act like you did/do in school. Grab a pen and paper. Note what you don't know, note what you do not understand, do what you would like to test, and DO YOUR HOMEWORK :)
 
I agree with the homework theroy, after that go with ur gut and keep ur eyes open...GL
 
Ya, it's easy to get overwhelmed been there many times. You gotta chunk stuff down into small projects and just keep acting on it. Most newbies give up when they don't see amazing results right away, don't be like that. Keep picking at it and you'll be an expert in no time.
 
The first and only real lesson to learn is sifting through the chaos, picking anything, and actually doing it.
If one week from now you have taken no action, then you see where you are mentally and it's best to work on that first.
 
I feel overwhelmed sometimes but never give up, keep up and learn more and more you will be a beast!

What I found out is that members here are really great. I first started reading making money section when I first joined but then I realized this was black Hat "World" not "method"... No seriously don't make noon mistakes even if you are a noob someone has already wrote a journey on what it didn't work....so build a product or service that will go a long way...short term will only lead to dissatisfaction and google/BHW ban hammer. Oh...never give up..
 
This is where you have to break the barrier and start doing something. Expect information overload when you start reading many thread in here, but remember to observe your own interest, what topic or method that can make you stay hours in front of computer? if you know the answer, time for action. Good luck, and hard work will never betray you. :)

As for starting out just start doing one thing. Stick to that one thing until you have found success and then scale it up. If you are 110% sure after awhile you can't make it work no matter what you do then and only then move on to the next thing.

And thanks to you. I didn't know what method to choose and I thought that I can go with this one. So, I will. :)
