I'm not 18, but I am planning on signing up with an affiliate program (not a CPA Network) that requires you to be 18 or older. There's a little check box on the application, and if you don't check it they don't let you sign up.

It's a very reputable company, for this threads sake lets say Bose.

Will this be an issue on getting paid/filing taxes?

No, they should pay you, just make sure they will do so without you submitting ID.
 
I wonder if the can tell from your tax id, idk.. If there is a problem, see if your parents care if you let them use their information. It should be fine though.. There is a few things I had to do that for..
 
If they report earnings and require tax ids your can't fake it.
 
I have dozens of accounts just recenlty a few started asking for license etc.... But even if you incorporate of from a llc they don't ask your age. Just legal jargon you can bascially say anything i would not worry about it.
 
Fake it. I don't know of them pulling credit beauros info to verify age with S.S. When you are a kid you don't even have a credit beauro profile. Unless you are a authorized user on one of your parents accounts. Now if they ask for license possibly. But when you incorporate they don't really ask for your age. Only when you get you tax ID number from the IRS. You can always set up a company in your in your parents name. Then after its all set up. Have them sell it to you for 50$. Transfer all shares over to your name including the EIN or Tax ID that comes with it. Update with the state agency a new list of officers if its a corporation or a new managing member which would be you which is about 35$. At this point there is no age verification. Nor do you have to send a license. Then now the company is yours. And you parents assume no responsibility. That is if you are living in the U.S....

So apply the the companies as you are the president or managing member and give you tax ID number.
 
You might not pass a telephone interview if you are male and 12 though :D

Unless you tell them your a eunuch ....

Good luck to you though, when I was younger it was not so easy to punt my scams to the world, the most we did would be the local news paper. These days its probably not so hard for a kid to be pulling more dosh than their parents!
 
I got accepted into my first CPA way back when I was 16 years old!

... Though on a technical stand point they could refuse to pay you for fraud. Just know anything you do with them is not binding so they can fu(c)k you and you can't do anything about it as you committed fraud.

That's what I'm worried about mainly, I've gotten into plenty of CPAs but have spread it to try and stay below the radar. If I make over X amount of dollars, they might investigate everyone that does, see I'm under 18, and not pay me. I couldn't really do shit then as you mentioned.

BTW, whoever said they could ask for license, I never got around to getting one and use public transportation :rolleyes:

Nothing wrong in it.. Just your knowledge is needed. I am a web master from 4 years and i know almost all the stuff out there.!
 
Make your parents familiar with what you are doing and try yo use one of their names.
 
Just to clarify guys, the problem isn't getting accepted into the program, I'm already accepted, what I'm asking is if it could be a problem getting payed over X amount of dollars.

You could get into some trouble if you make over $500 or $600 I think. Usually all they do is close your account and keep your money.

I currently have this problem too to a degree. Altough I always enter in my S.S.N. when I'm ready to get payed out and it seems to work without and flaws..so I really don't think there is much worry here.
 
It is possible to get someones age by a ss#, but I doubt they will. I do not see why it matters as long as you pay your taxes, which most people under 18 and 50% of people over 18 forget to do, is hold out the huge chunk of tax money.

I would be more concerned with the IRS than an aff program.

If you parents support you, they should be willing to help you with your taxes and maybe even an EIN.
 
create a dba and get an EIN, that way you could use your EIN instead of your ss

as far as uncle sam, just pay them and you'd be ok
