I'm new: by what method should I start?

I know it's a question asked hundreds of times, so I will try to make it short.
I've spent the last months learning web design and seo, and I think I've made some good progress in that.
Now I want to learn how to make money with IM, so I've read all that I could in this great forum.
This made me a little confused, there are so many methods that look good to start with.
I know that I must choose a method or a strategy and focus on that, and I also know that I have a lot to learn.
So, the question is:
if you were in my situation (only good in seo and web design) what method would you choose first?

Start by reading the many threads that are freely available.
Search button is your friend! Don't be afraid to use it.
 
Let me answer this with another question: What kind of clients will you work for? If you build and optimize websites intended for humans, then please learn about related skills including branding, marketing, copywriting, graphic design, etc. I don't mean you need to be able to do these things yourself, but understand how they work and intertwine with the services you do specialize in. I work with a lot of web developers who specialize in writing code, and don't know anything about writing words other than how web content affects user engagement, website value, and SEO. If you don't know how important each element is, then your own services are limited.

I can't say that black hat SEO isn't worth the effort, and I understand that more effort goes into white hat- as well as more patience- but only one really produces results in the long term. Which brings me back to the question... what do your clients want? If they want long term success, the answer is easy.
 
I would only suggest don't overburn yourself with reading, pick anything even if you make mistake by choosing "wrong" method don't stop after 2h, give it a real try plan to work on that method effectively 1h per day next 14 days. If you fail move on, repeat the process.

what do you like ? web -> MNS, Marketing -> clickbank,Amazon..., Video -> CPA + YouTube..., Blogger -> tumblr, pin, inst.,... do what you like
 
thanks everybody for the answers. I've read almost everything in this section, so already "overburnt" myself.
at least I've found a method that can be good for me, so gonna start with that.
although I will not make money is a great way to learn something
 
The reading method and not the method of asking. At the end of the day people making serious money are not just going to tell you what they are doing. You need to read up on various methods, put them into action and then add your own little twists on them. Keep twisting you method till you perfect it and are getting the kind of money that you are aiming for.

So why are you asking it again instead of reading the 100's of versions of the same question with 1000's of replies?

Excellent, you deserve a $1mil cheque for making a bit of progress. Forget this 18 hours a day for years stuff. Just make a little progress and the world is yours.

So rather than just take the initiative like a boss would you've decided to ask us like an employee would ask their boss "what do I do now, boss?"

Running your own business probably isn't for you. Sorry if that's blunt, but if you can't even make a decision on where to start then how can you make the 1000's of decisions that lay in front of you?

If I were in your situation, as you, I would look for a paid job in SEO or web design.

you've progessed and you stopped? keep going man and dont let other methods bother you. just keep going with whatever progress you have.

Don't listen to this guy.

If you follow a method correctly, you have no choice but to succeed.
 
Thanks everybody for the answers, I'm actually trying a couple of methods and twists... it's much more fun than I thought.
Btw, i've not stopped with seo and web design, the only issue is that i live in Italy and here to work as a freelance you need to pay the equivalent of 6500$/year in taxes even if you can't get any work. So too risky for the moment.
 
just stick to 1, many people will saying this though im not a sticker too
 
Don't confuse by all methods and don't simply take any single method here, If you work hard by implementing more advanced strategies in single method itself. You will get succeed for sure. Is it still confusing ? Let me tel you a real short story :)

Guy 1:- Looking to earn more money in single night, He came to know BHW forum, he read, read, read many money making methods. First he tried with method 1 by investing small money, failed. Do you know why ? he got many methods in hand, So that fool thinks "failed one - then try new one strategy"

He lost $$$ money by spending few few on many different methods, then finally he stick with single method even he got failed. Now he got succeed and earned, earning, will earn. Guy 1 named "bart" by the profile name of back2form :banana:

Choose any one method that you believe you can and better try with some more different strategy. I now believe members who posted money making method thread - earned much $$$.

I struggled for a while downloading too many things and not taking action. As you have already done, take action, see if you like it, see if it works. If not then you can move on. Don't give up on a method till you have tried it for a little bit.
