I’m laughing at them not with them.

When I see a hilariously dumb post or someone being an idiot, I’m tempted to “laugh” at their post but it seems to be clusterfucked with “likes” as an overall reaction score.

How is this any better towards gauging an account/user?

Abuse of fellow members is against the terms on BHW - the laugh reaction is meant to acknowledge something funny. Not mockery.
