IM is my new hobby

Alright people I've been on these forums a while and am asking for a bit of assistance please.

I have a day job, a career, and am happy with it. Internet Marketing is just a hobby I would like to become good at (to supplement my income) why not right however I don't really need it. Call it greed or whatever you want, I don't care.

I don't want to deal with SEO - takes too much time and you're really at the mercy of Big G. Not for me.

Adsense is OK but again, at the mercy of Big G. You also have to find something people will come back for...I have nothing unfortunately. Meh..

Creating products and selling them is great. But my product is myself to which I have already sold to my employer. Yes I'm payed well and that's MY product. I don't really have much else to sell online other than my knowledge - which was all learned from freely available resources online to begin with... not some fancy ivy league.

I don't have time for building fake blogs, twitter, facebook, pinterested, tumbler, grindr whatever to get money. Not for me.

Youtube is also so saturated any keyword I try has 100 videos uploaded that day already covering it. GREAT.

Finding a niche category is great and could be profitable but I don't see it being sustainable. Maybe I'll get lucky once or twice...not enough for me. It also takes forever and I don't have the time to invest in that - I have the money, not time.

This leaves me to believe the best way for me to make money is by advertising other people's product and getting paid a commission. I don't have to worry about SEO, sucking off big G, creating a product, dealing with licenses, laws, patents, trademarks, getting sued for not delivering, blah blah etc etc. Just pay to get people to see that product and hopefully they convert.

I want to dump money in - and get MORE out - rinse and repeat. I'm not starting from scratch like many people do. I have investment capital and am willing to use and experiment with it to get better at running good, converting campaigns.

So far on these forums I haven't heard someone spell out exactly how to start advertising affiliate offers. Landing page or direct linking? Which network is best for a beginner? I'm fine with creating a quick and dirty landing page but would rather just direct link the offer...who will allow me this and why is it so frowned upon by everyone? A quick and dirty "Go here, register here, dump in money here, pick an offer here, advertise it here, wait a week or two, see your earnings." See if it did well and change if it didn't. I like to keep it simple. Done.

I'm willing to spend on advertising to get that offer out there so people can see it. As long as I make 1 dollar more than I put in I'll be happy. I'm not looking to "live" off these earnings. Again, just a hobby and another skill I'm trying to improve upon.

You can hire a good copywriter, to put up 3 or 4 posts to make it look better.

Dont skimp on this, Good writers are worth their weight in gold

Choose a product with high gravity and a payout above $50
Then use FB Ads
There is a learning curve
but there is also a lot of information on the forum

You know, BHW is a great place but I think the focus is put on taking action yourself (as in making a website for adsense, for example) is way too much.

If you know a lot of people, or perhaps some that are valuable to you from past business ventures, you could just start selling them SEO, Social Services etc. without doing anything yourself...

There are LOADS of WhiteLabel solutions out there, benefit from it!

Good post OP. You said a lot of the same things I feel. I made pretty good money with Click Bank. Eventually that became a grind too. But I think the secret is outsourcing. Good luck!

Problem is, I don't want to deal with all of that boring stuff like getting a license or advertising or buying those silly little signs people put on their lawns. Can't I just dump money into a few houses for quick and dirty sales? I'd want it to go something like 'Go here, buy this property, dump in money here, pick a house here, advertise it here, wait a week or two, see your earnings.'

If anyone has any knowledge they can spit at me I would greatly appreciate it. I just ask that you be simple, precise and NOT vague.

Well you'd have to go through the process of buying property to begin with. As far as the selling process goes you could probably do it off the record on craigslist or eBay or find potential candidates doing offline advertising but I don't know. It sounds like you want to take a lot of short cuts and I'm not sure if that will cut it. Real estate is a very regimented niche for good reasons. This is something you're selling to somebody that they're going to spend lots of money on to live in for the next 10-25 years all the way up to the rest of their lives...People look for security and credibility when purchasing a house, it's not something you can just bullshit.
