Im' having issues with changing username for my Facebook page

  • You can't change the name of a regional Page if it falls under a global Page

I see that is about the page name, I'm talking about the username ie for example @sitename etc. The process is the same to go to the edit profile section etc. But every time I change the username it reverts to the old one. But the new username has a green check next to it, so it's not taken. It's really weird.

• You must be the admin of that Page to request to change your page name.
• Your new Page name must be related to the old site name and cannot exceed 75 characters.
• Page not more than 5000k likes
• Page must be public
• Do not put the Page name with keywords related to copyright (Singer, zodiac sign, ...) and special characters like ( + – , ? )
• When talking about the name of the Page you can also understand that it is talking about the Title of the Facebook Page displayed on your profile picture. Changing this name will not change your site's URL nor your username.
