I'm going to buy BTC at $20k; are you with me?

I don't think BTC will hit 1M, and if it does everything else will be inflated AF too.

I'm buying BTC all the time, but I really don't think it'll get to 1M. At least I hope it won't.
if the trend continues and macro analysis holds true, then 500k seems doable in the next cycle (4-5+ years from now).

This probably says more about the state of fiat rather than the state of BTC. I think that a more responsible comparison to asses BTC is by comparing it to S&P500 rather than to the USD.
Not saying it's not booming, just that its growth shouldn't be measured against USD but to the index.

Buy a short that the price will go down and profit sooner and more if you are so confident? No point in waiting till it reaaches what you think. Thats probably never going to happen due to murphys law.

Bitcoin had those huge dumps when it was just retail, but now the really big players have entered the chat (and more enter every month).
When the biggest financial institutions and countries adopt bitcoin, but it in their reserves and invest billions into it. Do you really think it will have an 80% dump? Soon most of bitcoin will be held by countries and institutions, and even if all of the retail sold off on the same day it would just leave a dent.

Exchanges have less and less bitcoin reserves.

My guess is soon all of BTC will be bought up, and there wont be any left to buy as buy pressure will be much much higher than sell pressure.

But then again, we can always have a moment when institutions say "lets rugpull crypto and get everyone back to fiat" and just sell everything to leave the whole crypto market on life support.

Do you really think it will have an 80% dump?
Dec 2017-Dec 2018: 80%+ dump
Jun 2019-Mar 2020: 73% dump
Apr 2021-Jun 2021: yaaaay, "only" 50% dump!
Nov 2021-Nov 2022: 77% dump

oh wow, looks like 80% dumps are possible, but who would've known? (literally everyone who can open a chart and zoom out)

My thesis: AI bubble is about to burst, the economy has inflated since COVID, Buffet holding a huge chunk of cash, CME gap at 20k (technicals), you name it...
So what's more painful than a wipeout that happened yesterday? Slow bleed to new lows and capitulation at 20k.
Those who believe BTC will hit 1mil in the next 1-2 yrs, what's your argument?
This is not realistic in any way..even if the bubbles are as large as oceans

That is also why my post started with "Bitcoin had those huge dumps when it was just retail, but now the really big players have entered the chat (and more enter every month)." But cherry picking parts from a comment is way better, right?

Not gonna happen but let's hope you're true lol. I've liquidated everything and bought gold, but I'll put everything on BTC if I get the opportunity to buy it at $20k

That is also why my post started with "bla-bla-bla"
yeah, and you framed it in such a way, either to "protect" yourself from all kinds of arguments or because you don't want to face your flawed logic.
CME futures, leveraged ETFs, etc. are just another place for selling BTC. for shorting your precious coins. your so-called "big guys" now can and will manipulate markets. it's those guys who pumped gold 1200% in 1980s and then dumped it for 71%. they are doing it live again while gold is blowing off top (and the top is near, most likely).
so big, much guys, yaay:

but this time is much worse because of gazillions of COVID dollars that inflated the economy, bubbles across all the industries, and 2-3 generations of people who were conditioned to believe "all dips are buying opportunities".
as I write this news of the regional banks' crisis is hitting the fan.

imagine now all your big guys can fkn short the sh!t out of crapto and they can do it comfortably, cuz now they have the resources AND the instruments. on top of that, they have herds of sheeps who be their exit liquidity and fill their shorts on the way to Valhalla.
next year will be remembered as a liquidity crisis year, no one is gonna care about the orange coin because everyone will be running for their lives into some more serious issues.

I think $BTC will hit 1M in the next cycle. I mean 1 year after the next halving.

For those thinking $1M in a couple of years, the argument usually centers on massive institutional capital inflow, global de-dollarization, and it becoming a true digital store of value against inflation.
And what they got is no adoption, a president who does rugpulls, no altseason but "down-only" mode for their bags and the biggest liquidation event in the entire history of crypto. Somehow, most still BULLieve.
Everything is going much lower.

I understand that is one option - everything just falling together and a huge recession starts.
A recession will come either way, the only question is when and how deep it will be.

As for BTC falling to 20k. Even the "Biggest" scam liquidity grab that took out almost a trillion from the crypto market did what to BTC - 15% dump?
We are all just guessing, as no one knows for sure, but I think we see a 130k - 150k BTC way before we see a 20k BTC. And I still dont believe BTC will ever dump that low again.

The example of institutions shorting gold to oblivion is a fine example, but with that logic we could explain any possible outcome with "look it has happened before, they have done it before so it must happen again".

There is a supply shock coming sometimes in the near future.
But only time will tell who is right and who is wrong.

Its all controlled and the people in control plan on making money for at lest the next 3+ years. Only real threat to btc will be when nation sponsored hackers get their hands on quantum computing. IDK when that will be but it wont be in the next 3yrs

There is no bitcoin wipeout. Bitcoin still holds at 113k$ today.

If you want to buy bitcoin for 20k, you'll end up buying 150k on fomo))) We will definitely never see Bitcoin in 20k

Quantum computing will have no effect on bitcoin price.

Almost 1 month ago, bitcoin was at 110k; it made huge progress and today it is at... 110k :D
Can't wait to feel the FOMO and buy at 150k

Is not going anywhere btc will not go below the 80$K mark if you look historic data yes it get dump few times but not to previous lows

you and 80% of the comments would be in a much better place just using the "NY open money printer". but arrogance is a helluva drug, innit?
