I'm going slightly mad wit local G serp

Situation: For some sites I get to page1 on serp for G in english.
But in my country, g local i am on page 4 - 10.
I tried to set language from webmaster tools,

Code:

meta "Content-Language" and lang (can't post the actual code because it triggers moderation system)

but still nothing.
I don't know what to do next.
Any ideas?

It will be very difficult for you to make him rank well with the current domain. To rank internationally and globally it would be more advisable to set your goals and adjust your keywords accordingly. Ranking locally and globally on local domain can be one tough job and I think that you just found out the hard way.

Hi. I try to rank locally but end up by ranking on page 1 / G com instead.

You can change the targeted users in webmaster tools, but it's mostly about backlinks I guess. If you have lots of backlinks from other countries then it will rank you better in main google. Try to throw in some links from from pages with the target language and tld.

try to add the keywords with localities in on page as well as anchor like " keyword in city" from external resources

You need to use international language if you want your links to get higher pagerank..Traffic incurring would definitely increase...As most of the links in your website are from other countries,it would definitely work in your favour
