I'm not interested on the programming part of design. Customizing your theme and place the elements where they should be in order to make a proffesional user interface is still web design. How can I make this part easy? I'm getting overwhelmed, I tried to find sites on a similar niche in order to copy them but they are far more advanced most of the time and their design is based on that. I just want to build a very simple 1-2 pages site without testimonials etc. I just don't know how to do that.

Also, I have trouble finding high quality images, where should I search? I can't create my own. I'm really interested in the user interface design skill for websites.

Images search is Google high res.
Themes buy a good one. Builder use elementor

Search for bootstrap template ?
Also bootstrap can easily customise your site

I feel you. Even for me it overwhelming, I not a beginner, still sometimes it is hard figure out how it is done.
Try to focus on CSS, install a paid themes on your local machine / VM and see how it is done. Once you get the hang of it, you will get better and better.

A lot of paid themes can be downloaded here at BHW.
I personally don't use these themes for production, I use these for educational purpose only.
Somehow I don't trust these free obtained themes.

Hi i would suggest to you , buying or downloading null version of somekind of drag n drop website builder , for ex. avada , divi etc.

or suiting simple site with elementor if you dont have money + photos from some free CC license you can find out there lots of them.
