I don't think I can post a photo here, but I have 62 views and 1,900 impressions. I wonder if the YouTube algorithm is failing to identify my audience?

You might say my title and thumbnail are bad, but I honestly think they are better than they need to be. I'm not sure if the algorithm hasn't identified my target audience yet or if it's showing my content to the wrong people. How can I fix this?

What should I do to help the YouTube algorithm identify my target audience? (Would running ads on my videos help the algorithm find my audience?)

1.7% ctr is your problem. youtube is already giving you impressions. people just arent clicking. tbh id focus on the title and thumbnail before blaming the algo or running ads.

Take Chatgpt's help and come up with clickbait titles. CTR less than 2% is poor. You'll even stop getting impressions if your ctr stays this low.

Don't run ads that will mess the algorithm up. For the first 24-72 hours, let the video go and then see. Also, impressions are a good indicator that your videos aren't bottlenecked, so the first 10 seconds might need work to keep people on your video; otherwise, they just leave. The thumbnail should not have tons of text, and remember that most people watch on their phones, so make sure it's mobile-friendly. You need to incorporate psychology into your thumbnails. If you use clickbait and never get to it, why should the viewer stay around?

Just a few areas of help and always use real photoshop not AI slop as people are tired of it and will go to another channel.

just wait and keep posting consistently the algorithm will figure it out

Thank you all for your valuable feedback.

I have an idea: What do you think about using A/B tested headlines? I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

I had this happen too sometimes it just takes a while for youtube to figure out who to show it to.

Check the audience tab in YouTube Studio to see the age range, gender, and interests of the people who watched your videos, and adjust your content accordingly.

I would check the audience retention graph first It usually shows where viewers lose interest and gives a clearer idea of what needs improvement.

A/B titles are worth testing, but change only one thing at a time. If impressions are coming and CTR is low, ads won’t teach YouTube much. They’ll mostly add noisy clicks.

High impressions usually mean your content is being shown but something isn't encouraging people to click. Improving the title and thumbnail can often make a noticeable difference
