I'm getting fatter than hell!

    The title says it all. Being full-time in IM has not helped my physical fitness. I'm going out tonight to watch the Syracuse vs. Oklahoma B'ball (sweet 16) and most of my nice clothes aren't fitting. It's disturbing. I'm officialy, almost, a fat fuck. I'm pushing maximum density, I can hear myself getting fatter. Can anyone else identify or am I in this all by myself?

    I'm joining a gym next week...really :D

    I put on about 20 lbs when I started....

    Now I workout... about 1-1.5 hrs a day, and i'm a badass mofo :D (kinda)

    If you're REALLY gonna join a gym... don't fuck around!!!

    I personally use the MegaMen Sport pack from GNC ($50 for 30 packages)... and I take 1 30mins b4 I work out... and it actually gets me motivated!!!

    Well..look at it this way..if you plan on getting the finest ladies on the menu you need to start eating healthier..Your body is more important than the clothes..I dont seem to put on to much weight and I am weighing a 178lbs:banana:..I joined a baseball league a few months back..I think many of us here need help with time management..best of luck to you blackhatter.

    Heh, yeah I gained a few Pounds but shed it all in 2 weeks at the gym with the correct food consumption/work out plan.

    The first week you are going to feel like you can't do it and you want to give up so take this advice.....DON'T GIVE IN. Keep working hard. Working Out and Physical fitness is an essential balance in life especially being an IM and sitting infront of a computer all day. Like Boosey said, working out 1-1.5 hours a day while maintaining a healthy diet can make all the difference in the world. I personally would recommend starting out at the gym 2-3 times a week if you are physically unfit, and work your way to 5-6 times a week. You will start to feel better, and in-turn become more creative in campaigns and all your IM adventures!:)

    Generally it takes 3 weeks before you are accustom to working out. After you're past 3 weeks you will feel bad if you miss a workout.

    Lol ye ;P For few times :p I have not been in traning for 3 weeks ? Its just so boring there and such. First it felt a bit bad but now i just decide fuck it loool. Well need start going again next week :)

    dude, ill give you everything ou need right here

    1. eat vegetable soup for breakfast
    2. vegetable soup for lunch
    3. regular meaty dinner

    take animal pak. (its necessary to keep you healthy while you are losing fat)
    drink whey protein once or twice a day. (optional but it WILL fill you up and make you feel full as hell)

    optional extra's

    pushups/situps/squats (its all you need, just work on increasing the amount you can do)
    running (interval training, run as fast as you can for 20 secs, then walk for 40 secs. do this for 15 minutes) <---- MUCH HARDER THAN IT SEEMS


    i promise you you'll be back to normal in two weeks.

    i did this to go from 220 --> 145 within a period of 5 months. :D
    im 162 now tho :(

    you can have fast food, but limit yourself to a bite of your best friends sandwich and 3 fries :p

    two weeks, you can do it!

    Yeah, being in high school at the same time of course opens up sports and stuff. But the same thing happened to my oldest sibling, he got fat, then he lost a ton of weight.

    I can totally relate, I was putting on the pounds because of IM...but then I tried ACAI BERRY which is rated the #1 superfood by some doctor guy that was on the Oprah show. OMG you gotta try it you will lose all the weight overnight trust me it works!!! :p

    I agree. I had to buy new jeans the other day. Im still a skinny mofo though. Infact people say i look healthier then ever. I was a string bean before. Seems like IM has actually made me put on some "good" weight.

    I have a gym in my apartment complex but never use it. Im not a big fan of big workout routines etc. Just everyday go for a walk and do something, not that hard.

    I'm not fat by no means, but that didn't give me a reason to take care of myself by eating healthy.. It starts to take a toll on your body if you get carried away. That's why I think even minimal exercise should be done by anyone doing IM..

    I take breaks every few hours to run and walk my dog. I have my own gym, but I still like to use my current membership just so I can interact with people. If you are going to join a gym. Search around for gyms with swimming/tennis/racquetball.. I am putting about 40% into cardio now. Don't overdo it though, to the point where you don't even want to go back to the gym. Find your limit and stick with that, you are bound to see gains and get more motivation overtime.

    Get proper vitamins such as animal pak listed above or my favorite "Opti-Men".. Also try fish or cod liver oil.. I spend about 100 or so a month just on supplements, but I get my commissions back.. Just take it easy with this stuff though.

    I had a 6 pack a few years ago. Now I have a big 1 pack. I just need to start doing some cardio for an hour a day or so. I live right by the river so jogging would be excellent, especially being away from traffic and all the fumes. On the other hand, the last time I attempted to run for half hour I was overtaken by this 80 year old woman.

    There is a new diet that helps you lose weight while you sleep. It is so funny. People who are trying to lose weight are like newbs on BHW trying to make money. They want everything without putting any effort in and they want it all yesterday.

    Google "steak and egg diet"
    .

    It really does works!!!

    Some supplements to look into:
    Whey Protein
    Multi-Vitamin
    Creatine

    and maybe some Caffeine Pills. Take Caffeine Pills 30 minutes before you start your workout to accelerate fat-loss.
    (Dont waste money on Hyped Up supplements stick with basics.)

    Stick with these Compound exercises:
    #1 Squat
    #2 Dead-Lift
    #3 Bench Press

    (your not going to like doing Squats or Dead-Lifts but these exercises will help you grow muscle and lose weight)
    In between sets do some Jump Roping.

    Stick with it and you will see results. Hope this helps out. Now go do some work SON!!!

    Since you probably wont join the gym (lol) just order some workout dvds. They are pretty good. Or even better just download them from btjunkie or some other site.
