I'm getting 1 CENT AdWords clicks, but no sales. Please advice.

I have as many as 800 subscribers now, promoting a weight loss e-book (ClickBank) through email marketing.

Method: Google Display Network, with 7-day email marketing

Cost: USD 1 cent per click

Demographic: All countries in the world (I'm getting a lot from 3rd world countries, but I still get US and Canada and all the good visitors too, although not the majority.

Landing page: Squeeze page (collects their email and redirected to product salespage immediately after that)

I know you guys will say my traffic source (3rd world countries) sucks.

But, are there any ways I can optimize my email marketing?

Those of you who have been making sales using this 1 cent PPC click, please help.

Don't know if it will help, but.. how good is the offer you're promoting?
Would you buy it yourself?
Does the landing page looks nice, convincing?
Are the claims believable?
Do they have any type of exit dial box that prompt people to stay on and buy a cheaper version of the product?
Are your banner/ads to the point?
etc, etc..

Again, not sure if it helps but if I were you I will look into the quality of the offer first, then check if my ads convey the right message, otherwise you might have a lot of people who only want some free stuff, in other words, not the buying kind.

Also, sorry for asking but.. why would you go into the weight loss niche? I mean, it looks like everybody and their dogs are promoting this kind of stuff.. Sure, it is a billion dollar industry but sometimes you can make better money promoting a specific product in a less competitive niche.

800 subscribers ain't bad, at least you've got some kind of response, perhaps you could try changing your demographics..?

Re email marketing, do you provide them with some great tips and content?
Do you offer them some kind of free report -one that gave them solutions they can use straight away- with your affiliate link?
If so, then .. I would keep in touch with them for a while, then will give them a strong final push (will include some testimonials from the site, will tell them to get it now before the price increases, will push their emotional buttons and stuff).
If most of them don't click, I will let them know that I'm cleaning up my mailing list and that their time is up

Perhaps, those people will be more easily sold during a webinar, who knows.. You could find someone in your niche and set up a JV for a webinar on weight loss/diet and see how it goes.

Hi, me again.
Just wanted to let you know that you had actually found out the reason why you don't get any sales: your traffic sucks.
Even if you could improve your email marketing, it wouldn't work.
A weight loss ebook for people who tend to be thin anyways isn't very targeted, obesity tend to happens in richer countries (where a lot of people just eat themselves silly and don't move that much), besides those people might not even have the money to buy a product that might cost a bit, and perhaps they might not have paypal either.

Actually, your post helped me a lot cause I bought a 1 cent click PPC method and was planning to use it, but there is no way I'm going to now.
I'd rather pay higher fees and get some decent traffic from people who are not only interested in my offers but are also able to pay for the product. There is no point in losing money just so that you can pay 1 cent only for an ad..

I mean, it is up to you.

Go and improve your email marketing campaign if you think it might be the reason, but you might waste your time.

Yes, I did good offers, with pretty good optin rates (18%) and open rates and click rates.

Problem is, I have considered CPA offers but have yet to find a suitable one here at PeerFly. Still trying to get accepted into other CPA networks, which is pretty hard for a non-US citizen.

It's ok. Gonna stray away from this small PPC adventure here for now.

Tip n*3 is a great idea, using an ebook as an incentive.
But how do you link the incentive with you offer, that is the part I don't get. Do people have to contact you and if so, how can you be sure they filled their incentive all right?
Or do you install some kind of script/program on your site so that after they're done they are redirected to your offer?

If you could point me in the right direction on this topic, that will be very nice of you

The awswer maybe be price. Your traffic is from countries were people would pay great sums for products like pills or other stuff, for tangible products
but piracy info products its too strong attached to their lives, in this countries people will first search for the info product and try to dwonload for free in sites like taringa.net or other warez sites, they will first do that if they can because they are used to donwload mp3, movies software, piracy is terrible and for example you can buy piracy products everywhere in the streets, any soft any movie. So if you are promoting good info product the proce is the key, it should cost not more than 10 dollars if you want to get a sale there. This is diffreent with tangible products like wloss pills, that will sell for 100 dollars with no problem. Hope this helps

30 dollars for an info product is just too much for pople that would not buy windows original never.
