well 2 months ive waited for a result from an mri scan on my lower
back - not the news i wanted .

    L4/5 degenerative disc protrusion
    episodic acute back spasms
walks with a side lumber [ like house without the stick ]
spinal surgery will not help .

so. next time people say , proxygo yeh hes that rude guy,
remember, i maybe rude in nature , but being in pain 24/7
    doesn't help either .

I'm sorry to hear about your pain.
I've had back-problems myself, although nothing as severe as you.

If I may I'd like to suggest something to you called FasterEFT. If it can't help with your pain it can at least help with how much it bothers you.
I am saying this only out of compassion and wanting to help. I have seen amazing things happen by using FasterEFT

I have written a little about it on my site if you want to learn more: quickerlearning . com
There is also about 500 free videos on youtube.

    Best of wishes
    Daniel

That sucks man. But you would be surprised what a good physical therapist can do for you. I would definitely try that out.

I feel really bad for you man. Any sort of chronic pain the back is absolutely terrible. Back problems run in my mother's side of the family. My mom and her youngest brother constantly throw their backs out so bad that they can't stand, sit, or walk for days at a time.

Whenever you need to be an a-hole to release some anger due to the pain you're feeling, feel free to bitch at me via PM lol.

had therapy over 3 yrs the result where well mixed .

1 - the first guy said 3 yrs ago - weak bones on my left side.
2 - the next guy said ,weak left side muscles
    3 - 3rd guy said - nothing wrong with you [ discharged ] idiots

spending time at my pc is not it.
many years ago i fell over backwards and cracked my back on concrete.
over the years pain came / went / but last year it wont budge
its either mild nagging ... or a cattle prod up your ass pain...

causing a limp, walking slightly over to the left , lifting stuff is out
bending is well not advised . - and im 42

I have the same problems, was diagnosed a few years ago. I used to be a maintenance supervisor for five different casinos (paid me a lot of money), climbing up a ladder one day to do some work on the roof and my back went out half way up, haven't been able to do physical labor since. Which is what led me to internet marketing.

My particular spasms cripple me some days and other days I can ignore them easy enough. I just got out of the hospital a couple of weeks ago. Back locked and I couldn't move, an ambulance ride 10 shots of pain killers, muscle relaxers and anti-inflammatory's later, I was finally released in a wheelchair. Now in physical therapy for my fifth time in 4 or 5 years.

I will tell you what helps me though, I am a medical marijuana patient. The marijuana helps eliminate the "normal" spasms that I have, I still have flare-ups from time to time, but I am 1000% better than what I used to be. Prescription muscle relaxers did nothing for me, pain killers only mask the pain they don't actually make anything better, so this was the medication I found that works for me.

Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that you aren't the only one going through this and that I understand what you are going through. I hope you find some peace a midst the pain.

    edit:

btw, I am 32 years old...

    Dayum, that sucks, big time.

No surgery can help you? There's gotta be something that can be done.

Don't know if my situation is very similar or not - my pain manifests as sciatica, but is caused by the L4/L5 as well.

I tried various doctors, therapists, chiro's with no real luck until I met a chick who does bowen therapy at a party.

She insisted she could help, so I gave it a shot and after 2 treatments that sciatica incident went away. (some sciatica attacks were lasting up to 6 months - never shorter than 3-4 weeks, she cured that one in under 2 weeks) Since then I go to her at the first sign of problems and she fixes it.

I also do lots of seakayaking (although any form of paddling would do the same) to build up my core strength. I mainly started this to keep my fitness up as my knees are shot and can't jog, and get bored at the gym. However have found it's the best thing for my back. You need to have good rotation in your paddle stroke to acheive this.

    It's also damn good fun!

I had a friend with a similar back problem (can't remember exactly what it was -- I think it's close to your health problem though), the doctors said he would never be able to fully recover... He kept going to the gym and built up so much damn back muscle (although it took years and years, little by little) that it actually "fixed" his problem and now he can live without chronic pain. Essentially the muscle tissue around the spine became so strong it could support his weakened spine.

that ties in with weak muscle theory my first physio mentioned
ie - doing less activities to avoid pain weakened the side effected
most because now any activity hurts 3x more
but i no i cant sit back on this anymore - gotta start and do somethig
the thought of a wheel chair scares the shit outa me
