This is a repeat of last year..

Ok I live with my room mate ( My best friend ) and last year I tried to make money online and failed miserably. Well my bitch of a land lord didn't support me (some old lady or AKA: His grandmother). She told me to find a job in 2 weeks or I had to move out and I had to put making money online to a halt.. I moved my ass around town looking all over the place doing everything I couldn't and I just simply couldn't find one.. not even Temp Services could get me one that quickly. She kicked me out and I had move back in with my mom.

Well.. now again this year.. I've only been trying to make money online again for 2 weeks and now the old bitch again (find a job in 2 weeks or move out) and jobs are tougher to find in this little tiny town than ever.

What I need is proof that I can show her that I'm making steady income..
AKA: I need to start making decent/good money on a daily basis so I can show her proof and try to talk to her.

I can't believe I'm in the same situation again.. I can't live another year in the middle of nowhere in a little brick shed type house with no money or food. I'm trying to build an online business with an income and yeah I'm not making shit for money right now.. but at least I'm happy.. I've spent 20 years pissed and I've had nothing for 20 years.

I'm finally trying to build something that will be worth it in the long run and now she's trying to be the dream crusher.

What would you do in my situation? Please don't say "get a job" because it's not that simple.. nor is it an option for me right now.. it's too complicated to explain.

1. Apply To Every Job In My City And Surrounding Area (I Know You Didn't Want To Hear That But This Is Purely A Back-up....You Never Know You Might Get One.)

2. Sign Up For E-lance And See What Jobs You Can Make A Offer On.

If I were you, I would firstly remove myself from the drama by going somewhere I could clear my head. Then, I would make a list of all the things I am good at in relation to online endeavors. Of all the things I had written on that list, I would focus on the things that I could monetize relatively quickly.

Do you possess any marketable talents such as template creation, website building, script installation, coding, banner/header creation, photoshop skills, or article writing? If so, you could capitalize on these talents while you are continuing to work on other online ventures that bring you happiness/money.

Many webmaster forums, including this one, have several members who would be willing to pay you relatively well if you possess any of the aforementioned skills and can provide services both professionally as well as reasonably priced. I am sure you can think of many ways to market this to your advantage.

As far as the crotchety landlord goes, do what you need to do to appease her rotten ass. Then, once you start making a sustainable income once again, I would highly suggest that you move the hell away from your negative room mate and his dream crushing mother.
 
Seriously dude, your room mate is ass. I know you said he's your best friend, but he's ass, and he's dragging you down. I'm not saying you can't still be his friend, and/or that you can't still be best friends, but you have to realize that he is dragging you down. Now for anyone else that reads this and doesn't see where I'm coming from, check out coreygeer's other posts where he talks about the problems with his room mate. One of the tips of successfull people is to surround yourself with other successfull people, or those that you wish to emulate. I'm trying not to come off looking like an asshole here, but you need to take a step back and see the situation for what it is.

I'm also not talking out of my ass either, because my best friend and I are also room mates, and you know what, he's got the same type of attitude that your room mate does about jobs/internet marketing. I had to sit down with him and have a talk, telling him that while he has his opinion, I respect it, but mine is different, and I would appreciate it if he doesn't try to down-talk what it is I'm doing/attempting to do. I understand where you are coming from.. he's my best friend, and I can't just "get away from him", but you need to work things out in YOUR head, that you are just different, and MAYBE he will see your side of it when you start making cash left and right on the internet. If he doesn't it's all good, just have it sorted out in your head to not listen to his influence.

Now, as for the whole grandma/landlord thing. It all comes down to this: can you pay the rent/your share of bills? If you CAN.... basically, tell her to shove it. Ok, don't tell her to shove it, but lie, say that you got a job creating content/building websites/advertising for an internet company, and that you work from home on your computer. If she says "that's not a real job", "that's not a real company", ask her how rich Bill Gates is, and say that "Microsoft" does the same sort of thing/etc/whatever, make crap up, get her off your back. Seriously, if you can pay the rent/bills, what is her problem? Let her try to throw you out. Check out tenant laws in your city, if you are paying the rent/bills, can she throw you out? I don't know, I wouldn't THINK so, but check out the tenant laws of where you live.

If you CAN'T pay your half of the rent/bills.... I don't know what to tell you man.. I know you said you hated your last job, but it was YOUR responsibility to ensure your own survival. I worked an extra YEAR at a job that I HATED, and that physically HURT me every single day, just to ensure that I had enough money saved up to give internet marketing a go, and be able to pay my bills for months and months in advance in order to have the time for everything to work out. It sucks, but it's "tough love" man.

If you get things on track and get her to chill out, and make some cash from the internet, your first agenda should be saving up as much cash as possible, and MOVING out of the situation that you are in. Environment is A LOT.. and if your current environment is crap, you've got to put up with it long enough in order to CHANGE it.

If everything fails miserably.. I've got an empty living room in NJ ... lol
 
I stumbled upon a website 2 years ago that payed you to write articles.

I can possibly convince her that this is a job.. technically it would be. I need a website that pays you per articles, because I can't really afford to go Forum Hopping from forum to forum looking for writing jobs because I'm not guaranteed to get anything.

Here's A Thought, Open A Paypal Account, Do The Article Work, Get Payed, Print Out A Copy Of The Transactions And Your Paypal Balance, Keep Your Place :p

It's A Job If You Make Consistent Earnings, So Do It, Get Proof ... You're Good lol

First off, calm down. Panic never does any good. Keep a cool head and you'll be fine.

OK, just blackhat your way through this. Log into your Paypal account, or any affiliate account for that matter, and then spoof your earnings following the directions from this post here:

Print out a bunch of Paypal statements showing that you made a few grand every week.

Think about it, if thousands of people on DP can be fooled by earnings claims, then one little landlady isn't a problem.

After you have her convinced, you can work on really earning some money via BH, but spoofing your earnings should give you some more time to get your shit together.

If you're looking for money making ideas, I'm not sure if you will find any here. This forum is only for talking about gardening, and house cleaning. If you want to learn about plants, then you are in the right spot. Perhaps you could try weeding someone's garden?

Well, I was going to hop in and say Associated Content, as they used to pay up front for all articles I *believe*. I just went and checked the website prior to writing this though, and it seems like they only sometimes pay upfront for articles now. Here's a quote from their FAQ, make sure you pay attention to the last part:

Now, I had something bookmarked, or pasted in a notepad somewhere about how to go about making money from article writing, but I can't find it. The basic synopsis of it was this:

(sometimes, you just have to do things whitehat, and there's nothing wrong with that) You need to join the Warrior Forum, and act like them, butter up to them, become one of them when you are over there. Be helpful, friendly, etc, to get your post count up a bit - you need at least 30 posts to post a WSO. You need to whore yourself out and write articles for people that need them/are asking for them. Make them GOOD quality articles, and charge a very reasonable rate. What you are doing is building up a portfolio, and ALSO, building up customers and TESTOMONIALS. The whole idea here is that you've got other good people on the Warrior Forum who are willing to vouch for you that you write good, quality articles. Once you have that (or hell, blackhat your way into the testomonials?), then you research something that is hot, something that a lot of people would want plr articles for, something that is up and coming. Write out a pack of 10 to 20 QUALITY articles, and set up a WSO offering them as a plr pack. Now, instead of getting paid just once for the articles you write, you get to pick what you want to write on (well, kinda, you need to be writing about things people would buy the articles for and be able to use them), and you sell those same articles over and over again through your WSO plr pack.

I have no idea what the going rate is for good plr packs over there anymore, but that's research YOU would have to do, and if you'd need to put a "cap" on how many times they where sold, etc. (which again, could be black-hatted!)

It's "work", and it WILL work, you just have to do it. Is it glorious? Obviously, not, and it's also not something that you can sit back and set up in an hour and then get paid multiple times over again. However, if you need the cash, it's certainly viable.. don't think of it as "work", think of it as "creating wealth"!

In addition, I know that there is a current WSO about Associated Content, but it's on the "do not share" list, because it's from someone that is a member here. He doesn't specifically say that it's about Associated Content, but his WSO thread went a little hay-wire, and someone was bad mouthing it, and ended up posting direct quotes from the "website in question's" FAQ.... well, anyone with half a brain can do the detective work on that and see that it's about AC. I pm'd the member here, asking if there was a discount for BHW members, as I'd be interested in buying it, but he never responded. :( If you want to check it out, go to the "do not share" list in the download section, and it's the one about "newbies and people that have never made $1000 a month online" If you want to go the AC route, this could possibly help.

If there IS a website that pays straight up for each article submitted (all the time), please do share with the rest of us!
 
What are your skills? Learn to web design, there are people all over the place looking for designs
 
Honestly, moving out of your shit town might be the best advice anyone can give you. You always see history channel or small towns, and the people that live there say theres nothing for kids to do, etc, no jobs, and all the smart ones leave. Leave.
 
What about just a part-time job? Just do something easy to keep the old bitch off your back, like delivering pizza or graveyard shift at wally world. Just work 2-3 nights a week, just enough to pay her a little money (how much does she want anyway?) and dedicate the rest to becoming successful online in something.
 
Essential Clix has a good point, get part time job to buy time.

The fastest income I got was with selling digital products on ebay. I am shipping 140 cd's a week, and dealing with idiots. I am hoping in the next few months my percentages go up.

I have the income I need now, now to build other income streams.

Now if you want to know what digital items to sell? all I can say is go with Public Domain.
