I'm dropping my addiction.

Crazy when you think I used to live off redbull and ramen when I was 20. Really takes a toll on you when you get older. However I did read something about that artificial sugars fool your body because when you eat sugar your body starts to break it down to glucose and fructose and use what it needs, and how the body reacts to thinking its getting sugar but its actually aspartame or something else. I would recommend a plant based sweetener like Stevia to replace sugar. Or honey in tea once in a while

Well ,I also gave up sugar in drinks. It's been a few years now. I feel better than before

I did one keto diet in my life, years ago, it proved very effective for the first 10 pounds, but then I had a few undercooked fish meals and I got so disgusted by it that I stopped. I think following a high protein, low carb diet, where you don't exclude too many individual foods is most optimal and healthy, but people have different preferences and metabolisms so whatever meal plan works for you, that is the best kind of forever-diet. I have a large appetite so I either eat clean asf or I need to track calories in order to keep weight stable.

I too have been reducing my sugar intake, not because I need to, but because it does little for our body and can cause issues over time as we age.

Good job on having a health goal, our health is all we truly have in life.
You can eat everything, it is important to observe the amount of food consumed ... do not deny yourself anything. That's bullshit;)
