I'm done with Proxidize!

It was good while it lasted, but I think it's time to move on to another service.

To make a long story short, I have two servers with them. Identical servers, I upgraded 1 of the server to the latest version of proxidize and things have been going haywire ever since. The other server, which I didn't upgrade, has been working fine without issue.

When I asked support about the issue, they are telling me it's nothing wrong with the software and it must be the hardware. Yet a week ago, before upgrading, I had no issues.

Now they're telling me I need to purchase their hardware and hubs to get a stable set-up meanwhile every other proxy software service uses your hardware and not their own. This is the only company that requires you to use their hardware (as far as I can tell) in order to get a stable setup.

What really was the last straw is currently I'm paying $45 for 5 proxies, I just checked their prices and now it's $99 for the same 5 proxies. I don't like the direction this is going.

So if anyone could please provide me with another proxy software provider (preferably one that you've used), I would be truly grateful.

While I do know of a few I don't see many reviews about them.

$45 and $99 for 5 proxies, is it per month? If so, it's robbery.

What are the PC specs?

I guess particular recommendations will be subject to ban here, it's against policy.

Yes, it's per month.

They are both intel-based mac mini's running ubuntu.

I think only if the recommendation is your own company or you're affiliated with it would be against the rules, but general recommendations should be fine. Maybe a mod can chime in if I'm incorrect.

Wait, he needs Proxy Building Software, not the proxies themselves. Is there something like that in the Marketplace?
You're right. I read that as Proxifier not Proxidize. Response removed as it might create confusion. Thanks for the highlighting this.

Hey!

I work for Proxidize. I'm sorry you've had a bad experience. I promise you if this is a software issue you're having it'll get resolved in less than 24 hours, but if it's a hardware issue, then there's nothing that can be done other than replacing faulty components. If you can send me a PM or email your Customer Success Manager, I'll be more than happy to expedite the process even further.

It's hard to reply to anything else without breaking the rules here, but I'd be extremely careful looking at the copycats as there are horror stories of fraudsters that specifically target Proxidize users. With that said, it's a big world and I'm sure there has to be a decent or budget-friendly one out there, so good luck with your search!

Best,
Abed

Can you please share more details. Like what and how's typically happening.
Sure :) I wrote a blog post about it last year which you can find in the Proxidize blog. It even got us to start our open-source efforts to help users with low budgets, especially the big upcoming open-source project that we have.

I read the article. `proxidize-copycats-a-story-of-greed-international-crime-syndicates`

2 notes.

* what is copycatting? Yes there're services (mobile proxy building software as a service) that do work & earn money. I will not mention them there, just google "how to make 4g proxy" etc. They are legitimate companies or individuals. Do you call them copycats just because they provide the same service as yours? What is the difference between a legitimate competitor and copycat? Are all the competitors - copycats?

* in the article you mentioned they installed binaries on the machines (4g proxy servers) and it was bad. OK. But Proxidize installs binaries too! Everybody installs binaries to make reverse-engineering as hard as possible. Is every binary bad? How to distinguish "good" & "bad" binary? It is a question of trust.

To not hijack OP's thread. Shoot me a PM and I'll be happy to have a conversation about this.

In summary, we think about it in two ways:
  1. Is this individual using copyrighted code they took from the original open-source version of Proxidize/ProxyKnow without permission?
  2. Is this individual using proprietary technologies, methods, or systems that they acquired or learned by trying to reverse engineer Proxidize and are patented or patent pending?

If either of those is a yes, then it's a copycat that is using stolen material/IP and we're building a pipeline for dealing with those. I have yet to see an original competitor, but I also don't really search or look.

Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions related to OP's thread!

I would tone it down with the copycat stuff. I vividly remember when the guy that I am buying my script was tackled by you, just because he launched it before proxidize, months before your serveice, for a price way lower and 4 years later I'm still using it. It wasn't on this forum, but it was on another one, pretty known. Will not mention my source cause I like him being lowkey, but when I will decide to get out of this business, I will provide a full guide with the proper steps how to create a full 4g business, for free and I will encourage everybody to 'copycat' the guide.

Just dig deep, you'll find another sources or even start to learn how to develop your hardware and put together some pieces.

I'm sorry to disappoint, but I genuinely have no interest in an argument. The fact is we have intellectual property that has been repeatedly stolen since 2018 where I've seen my code and my comments copy/pasted so the least I can do is to call anyone that stole from us a copycat.

I have no idea who you or your script guy are, but I'm sure you have the best intentions and I wish you both all the best!

Ikr it’s a bit overpriced af.

then they also make u buy their 500$ for 10 dongle kit or w/e it is . Tried using their script with my dongles and they wouldn’t help with a bug that prob could been fixed(kept telling me to use their hardware )

Cool they have a free android app tho, cuts back on hackers using proxies for fraud with their 4g script the hacker put a back door on

This is what happens when something is monopolized, we need an open source

There are some good low cost DIY alternatives, but why would anyone want to share their method to possible competitors ?
Not to brag - but I run over 200 twitter/40 IG/400 Reddit/50 Facebook/70 YouTube accounts on 4g proxies for £20 a month.. on a 10 year old laptop.
Using a $129 router.
But what did I have to learn :
  • Python ( a fuck ton)
  • Scripting TTL (nightmare very little help out there)
  • Researching and buying many different routers. (money i didn't really have then)
  • VB scripting
  • VMware ( deep shit involving virtual networks.)
  • AHK
About 6 months of work and testing before I could confidently leave it running 24/7 without bans or suspensions.
So no I'm not sharing that method, I have shared and helped on other things before though.
