Hi

I've been a big Apple fan ever since the first iPhone was unveiled. I own the iPhone 4, 4S, 5S and other Apple products. However, recently I am strongly thinking about switching to Samsung (Galaxy Edge 6).

I think Samsung came a long way in catching up to Apple and there are many features in Galaxy Edge lacking in Apple. For example, data speed is nearly twice as high in Edge over iPhone 6 Plus (around 300 MB vs. 150 MB on Verizon network). Further, Samsung Edge has ability to charge 50% capacity in just 15 minutes. In iPhone 6 there's no such feature. There are additional "bonus" features like wireless charging etc. And the speed of the Galaxy Edge is slightly faster than iPhone.

And perhaps most importantly it is much easier to customize a Galaxy than an iPhone. I know it's possible to jailbreak an iPhone but it takes months for new jailbreak software to get released and sometimes it feels like your walking on thin ice. With Android no such issue.

Anyone else feel the same way?

Thanks

yes I would wait for the note 5 tho it has a stylus and 4k recording 4k screen 4gb rams 8 cores Virtual Reality 2 day battery life pretty much shits on apple

Ever since Steve Jobs died Apple just been copying Android and now Spotify its sad

I switched from Android to iOS and I am glad that I did. When buying a phone, I consider two factors; solid build which feels premium in hand and simplicy of use. Apple has these two. I am not really a big time fan of all they're products, but for tablets and phones this company is a winner for me personally.

I had the 4s for a year or so and then I moved to HTC, then samsung, then back to htc again and then got an iPhone 6 about 6 months ago. Love that phone, and went ahead and got a note 4 as a second phone, and trust me dude, nothing comes close to iOS. Apps crash like crazy on the android though its got like 2GB of RAM and an uber processor and stuff.

I got a mac mini and a macbook, and recently got the 5k iMAC, I would never go back to windows either. Unix for life. Well, you never know what would happen when windows 10 comes out.

Moved to android long back, would never use apple.

Been a samsung user and yes the apps used to crash sometimes. Then I got a Xiami Redmi Note phone.. Never crashed even once.

Go with Samsung.

There used to be a quality difference between samsung and apple, but in recent years samsung has increased there build quality a lot, to the point where then are on par.

Just giving you a heads up, The faster you charge, the shorter your battery life is going to be. The perfect way to charge a battery is to charge it as slow as possible. I have phone chargers of .5A and 1A. 1A chargers way quicker than .5 A. It is not phone dependant, unless if the battery capacity is different.

I can make a 2A charger to cut the charging time in half. But you are killing the battery's health and long life. If faster charging is the only thing you are looking for, buy a custom charger. I am not saying Samsung is killing its own battery, but my point being, if they could charge their phone 50% in 30 minutes instead of 15 minutes, the battery health would remain good for a longer time.

Cheers! ;)

xiaomi is a fucking cheap phone, is it comparable to samsung in display quality and radiation levels?

I really don't know what you guys are doing if your Android apps are crashing. Maybe you just need to wait a bit, instead of pressing million buttons in a second.

I beg to differ. I can be on a phone call for 12 hours on my flip phone and the battery won't go down at all.

I use the flip phone for calls and a smart phone (Galaxy Note) for scheduling.

Im a samsung guy but I dont like the edge for some reason.

I was also using the iPhone 5s but now turned to Nexus 6, it is much better !!

I would go with Google Play edition, if you want real Android and not so much of carrier bs bloatware...

I prefer iOS over other mobile operating systems. Also, most apps release first on Apple.

The only reason I use Apple products is because of their exclusive programs, etc.
