Been doing guest posting for a few of my site inner pages about a year now, each inner page has about 5-6 keywords. Pretty much all the keywords got to the first page or second page . After the most recent Google core update, two of my most import keywords just disappeared from 11, and 13 position. All my other keywords and URLs are fine and did not change much. The strange thing is there are other 3-4 keywords for the same inner page, when you search those keywords, the same inner page still showing up, but not the other two keywords. I checked my Google search console, it has no warning or anything. Are those two keywords just got stuck during the Google update? Is Google still trying to figure out where they suppose to be? or two keywords got penalized by Google?
What I suppose to do in order to recover those two keywords? Start all over again?

You're not the only one after the recent core update.

We don't know exactly what the update changed yet but what you described look like anchor text over-optimization. You pushed one phrase too much so it's down but others are OK.

It's normal that only 2 keyword position changed during update, just wait few days and check if it is come back to the position, if not then create more guest post.

Lately, I see a lot of dancing with keywords, however, after a while, it can be from a few days to a couple of months time period, everything falls into place.

I know it’s very hard not to react at a given moment and in 99% of cases we react right away, but sometimes, sometimes it’s much better to let time show and do its thing.

Imagine how many times we actually did a good thing but we didn’t wait long enough and reacted with some extra backlinks that ruined everything we built because we did too much actually.

I can agree here and it was the case with some websites before,
yet, with all the thrown up problems from google, you can't be sure as before,
if you have an overall over-optimised anchors or/and content for these keywords/pages, it's the 1st thing to change

i see, how many in the first month?

Did you lose considerable traffic? % of previous numbers?
