Im Beating The Odds

What's funny is that you caused yourself the heart attack with your shitty lifestyle and now you are boasting about your new healthy lifestyle almost daily.

Hint: most people don't need a near death experience to quit smoking and start exercising they just get that self-awareness around 25-30.
Some people have that self-awareness, some others don't and might need some other factor to contribute to the development of that self-awareness, such as in this case (some others keep not caring and still do poor health choices, but that's another thing).

That's all because of a different number of factors which include, but are not limited to, peer pressure, social and familiar lifestyles and situations, and a load of other things, one of which is the actual bombardment of unhealthy stuff in our lives - eg. McStuff, and alcohol.

Peer pressure and a shitty life (I know it might not be your case @proxygo )is what brings people to start smoking and do drugs in the first place.

Point is that, for @proxygo, this change in lifestyle might be a huge achievement. He's over 50 and conducted a poor and unhealthy lifestyle, till now.

Can't we just let people enjoy their little life victories in peace? Can we just let them share with a community they are a part of without bashing on them?

He's making thread over thread you people say, fine, but it's a lot less annoying then the people spamming other sections of the forum, or making troll accounts just to satisfy their idiotic selves and to fill the void left by lack of attention.

Let the man relish his new-found achievement.

On a more serious note....

Cigarettes are THE SHIT...

I am self aware of everything and can change my habits for everything, except this horror...

HELP!

This shit makes you feel like shit. So how can you smoke? It's insane!

It's the freaking brain who is doing whatever he wants...

What sucks is that we are more emotional than logical creatures, and cigarettes are the perfect example...

Why would anyone smoke when we know it creates cancer?

Smoking makes no sense at all and smokers are stupid...

Sadly emotions are more powerful than logic.

Start vaping!!! That is the only real way I have found that works. Although they are illegal here right now, I managed to find a good supplier. Been without a single stick for atleast a month now.

Come to inbox dear, I’ll tell you what helped me give up smoking. I’ve been clean now for several months.

Yeah those are definitely the worst someone can do for their health. I started with that heated tobacco stuff, and gotta say there's a lot of improvement in breathing, smell, smoke in general. And you can smoke'em indoors as they are not like normal cigs which make everything go yellow. Granted, that's still not good, but it's a step forward... at least I hope it is :D

I heard acid can help with this. What acid is, you can guess...

No need to apologise!
Yeah I know how bad the situation was in the UK last year this time.
Quite glad you actually made out of there, and like I said, each one has got their own personal achievements to be proud of

LOL, wut?
Cardiac arrest is pretty common in endurance sports believe it or not. Gaming on it's own won't give you a heart attack haha, the habits you have alongside it is the deciding factor there.

my attack 0 to do with gaming - my attack was caused by blocked
arteries caused by smoking, which i have now quit.

That’s not what Sponge Boi said. He said you’re more likely to get a heart attack from “physical activity”. That’s not in the same realm as endurance atheletes and their PEDs.

We really need to stop comparing ourselves to outliers and exceptions. The Dunning Kruger effect is real af lol.
Show me some statistics of gaming-induced heart attacks :D.
If we were talking about brain health then I'd agree, Gaming is really bad.

I'm aware, sorry for straying the thread away from your point.
