I'm about to take a huge step......

Hello BHW gentlemens,

I've decided something big I've never imagined or even thinked about doing and that's is:
starting personal brand or making content
But the problem is when I made this decision I had a whole lot of questions:

1_how should I start.
2_how I will edit the videos.
3_how I will shoot the video.
4_what is the best niche for monetization and how I can invest in my personal branding in the best way ever.
5_on which platform should I start? YouTube, Instagram, TikTok?
So yeah starting the personal branding or making content so I can open new doors later considering I won't make my self a joke or anything but to add value to the digital world.

1. The important thing is that you start now, even small things in your spare time
2. Canva is good free option to start if you want easy, you can move to better and more complex software later.
3. Depends on what vids, but film your own product vids/real life content, or use ai generated pics/vids to supplement.
4. Do lots of research here, but I recommend starting something you are passionate about, so that you stay interested and knowledgeable about the niche and content creation is easier too. Dont invest much especially on paid ads until everything is set up and making small profit using only free/cheap softwares.
5. Depends on niche and video form, but I prefer YT, IG out of those choices, sometimes Bluesky or Pinterest maybe, again dont start more than you can consistently handle.

1,2,3,5 - You don't have to overthink it. It's because you haven't really started... it seems like you have to think too much about these questions.

4 - You should think about this and do some research to see what other people in the niche you want to target are doing.
Anything can be monetized through your brand, as long as you choose something you are naturally passionate about and can do for a long time.

Take the guys who make outdoor camping videos - which I watch a lot of, Outdoor Boys used to be my favorite
It's like a hobby for them and they get to build a brand name while doing something they just love doing.

Write video -> shoot video -> edit video. Everyone's first video sucks but it's straightforward. You'll get better over time, phone camera is perfectly fine.

Canva or CapCut. Both are good. CapCut is great on phones. If you wanna be an OG you can learn how to use Davinci Resolve (open source video editor)

Camera + learn your angles. If you have a selfie stick or ring light, use those.

Theres literally 0 reason to not upload the same content to all platforms. Add LinkedIn there too.

If you aren't willing to look like a joke you won't go far. You will annoy people. People will make mean comments when you post on the internet. Most communities are pretty positive though, and algorithms have gotten pretty good most people that see it will likely want to see your content.

For example, once I started a project posting many times daily and started 4-5 social platforms. I could not keep up and felt penalized, so I changed to 1 post every 2 days without failing. I felt that they ranked me higher if they could depend on me to deliver consistent content instead of a 3 week gap with nothing.

Popular choice. Good luck with that! There are a ton of free resources you can look at about how to do the things you are asking about as well as free and paid software. Generally speaking, you could start it all with a laptop and a smartphone. Start simple, learn on the way and improve and upgrade after you are starting to understand what you actually need.
