And define "working hard".

What have you done? What have you built?

How many sites have you created?

How many funnels have you built?

How many articles have you written?

How many calls have you made?

How many backlinks have you built?

How many offers have you tried?

How many landing pages have you built?

How many emails have you sent?

Tangible things.

If you've made 5000 calls, built 20 websites, written 2 million words of content, created 50 landing pages and sent a million emails and you've still had nothing come of it then, yeah you're a failure.

Have you done close to that?

Name what you've tried, and what you've physically created.

Spending a few hours a week dabbling in a few methods then getting dismayed is not working hard.

Seriously. List out everything you've done here. Let's have a laugh together at your pathetic work ethic.(The reason for your failure, not because YOU are a failure, and something you can change)

It's good to get some perspective. Sometimes our mind bullshits us into thinking we've worked hard, but then when you list out what you've done you realize that you've done pretty much nothing..

Go make 1000 cold calls selling something and then at the end of it see if you call yourself a failure. You won't. I've taken complete sales novices and pushed them to do call after call, and guess what? They get meetings, leads and eventually sales. REAL hard work pays off.

But I will say just don't Try to make money right now. It's not worth it to be honest.
Live your life well and make some girlfriend and enjoy your teen life.
You will have to work for your entire life anyways. Is it absolutely necessary to make money right now? If your not really starving i won't recommend IM.
99% of people will fail in IM no matter what. Enjoy your school life. That's what I am currently focusing on too.
I started making money when I was 14, dropped the school because I was making good but rejoined last year without any academic loss. Now I am in final year and will goto a university next year probably in America.

99% of the planet just goes and enjoys teen life and they end up middle aged, fat and unhappy. Don't do what everyone else does at 17. Go make bank and then when you're 30, THEN you enjoy life. Why get a girlfriend at 17 when you're poor, when you can work hard, then in your 30's and 40's get a 25 year old girlfriend and have the money to enjoy life with her.

Most people I know are already doing quite good. Just get into a top college and pass with good grades. You can easily above $100k with less stress.
Most will fail at IM no matter what. I was just telling the truth.
It's upto OP if he falls for marketing brainwashing. Be practical don't live in fantasy world.
I want to party hard, hangout with friends, get drunk, make girlfriends and do breakup. Live the college/ teen lifestyle. You would need to work your entire life in one way of another unless you sell a company to google for $100 million lol. That's not possible for 99% of people.
I know ivy league graduates and other talented people who too failed.
We should never give people false hope, just have patience. It's not as easy as it sounds.

Your decision of creating a thread here itself speaks about the fact that you are not a failure. You have at least made an honest attempt by spelling out your mind and possibly, now you will get some fruitful advise and your chances of success would rise.

My only advise would be...I am sure some avenues that u have tried during these past 17 years must have surely given u some ideas as to which skills are your strength areas. Do that self assessment and implement those to either build a product, follow a particular businesss model or/and provide services pertaining to those skills at freelancers marketplaces.
