Illegal Downloads

Hey everyone
I have been spending a ton of time on here reading through threads, and one thing I see is a lot of people using videos or links or photos to send traffic to a content locker holding a copyrighted download.

Those of you who do this - what are the legal ramifications of taking that sort of approach?

It is starting to attract unwanted attention. I've got rid of these kinds of sites as people are now getting arrested for linking to copyrighted content even if its not hosted. In the UK the law is sketchy but I'm not risking my chances as they are raiding peeps over here now for this kinda stuff. Best advice is either steer clear or use a legit affiliate. U have to avoid using copyrighted names in your domain name too.

Just dont link to real stuff.

On your first site setup a link to another one of your websites that is covered by a content locker. On that second website have an image of a video player with a loading image covered in a content locker (for videos) and just a fake link if for downloads.

You would be suprised about how many people will do both content lockers lol. And you arent doing anything illegal. Just pissing off people.

People like to scare others so they dont get competition. I have a so called illegal
site raking me over 4k monthly which is hosted on my friends account who is in
Russia and we share the money. If you are scared then get your buddy who
lives in one of those country which dont have stupid laws.

Lol I don't care about scaring others as with me being in the UK i have basically no competition. I'll go into more detail. If you buy up exact match domains, add all the episodes, then get some basic article submissions done you'll rank top 10 for almost any show easily within a couple of weeks.

I built watchdoctorwho.co.uk, watchamericandad.co.uk, watchonlyfoolsandhorsesepisodes.com, watchreddwarf.co.uk and more. If you search the terms in the domains in google uk ull see some are top rankings etc. The real reason i sold em was, a little bit cuz of my fear of the feds breaking down my door as I've been raided before for something similar back in 1996, but more cuz they just couldn't make me money.

Back when I started this, u could put a content locker up and rake $$$$ every day. Now people are wise and as soon as many see a content locker they leave the site. I tried so many affiliates but most people that go to these sites wanna see their episode and if it aint there they click or do nothing. If you aren't banned from adsense u can prob make a mint but its aganst their TOS.

If you figure out how to monetise this well please let me know and I may try something new. For now though, i'm working on other side projects. Gl

I never work with movies, show and never will because i have received dmca and it was scary. I am in other illegal niche

Have you ever tried putting the videos on sites like Novamov (or Videozer)? Novamov pays $10/thousand views and counts multiple views from the same ip address. Seems like if you are getting a lot of views you could make a decent amount that way, especially if the same people were watching lots of videos on your site

Man they sued people for downloading n torrenting stuff that wasn't even legit, you've got to watch out
