I don’t mind helping people in areas that don’t affect me. If someone’s stuck on something that’s irrelevant to me, sure, I’ll drop my knowledge with pleasure. But then you get posts like:

"Can we create great websites using AI ? What tools should I use ?"

And nah. That’s where I draw the line. I know the answer, but I’m not handing it out. If I replied, it’d be something like: "Good luck, I know the solution, but you’re not getting it from me"

Not out of fear. Not out of insecurity. I just don’t want certain things to get too mainstream and watered down. Some knowledge is earned, not given.

There’s a saying: "They want you to succeed, but not more than them"
But in fact, i don’t really care if someone overtakes me. If they grind hard enough, I hope they do !

It’s just that not everything needs to be spoon-fed. Some doors should stay locked unless you know how to pick the damn lock.

What do you think? Am I an a**hole? Or just protecting the craft from lazy tourists ?

Tobi.

Someone has given you valuable information before and yet you won't share the same?

The truth is, the lazy tourist will never be your competition. But it doesn't mean you can't just help someone out

Tbh any amount of help is good. Let's get real, most really rich people will explain things only to their families and screw everybody else, so I'm always impressed when stranger explains anything at all. I just assume by default that I won't have all the info because it's not public and try to reverse engineer / dox other hustlers. If someone actually explains something to me it's a bonus, I don't feel entitled to it, I'm just a stranger. These motherfuckin coaches I don't believe, no way in hell someone would put full info out there like that, what a scam.
