IG story better than original image post?

I've seen people more and more likely to use IG story nowadays, but if I don't have enough time to create high quality video, why do I use IG story? is it really necessary to create more stories than images?
Or maybe there are more engagement for stories than image post?

Stories are really good for keeping people engaged with your account, you can share posts, make comments, post videos or images related to your niche, announce post beforehand, do polls, a thousand different things!

I can not say IG story is better than normal post but it is one of the necessary factors which must be used to keep people engaged with your account. I suggest you to balance them.

Stories + Post at the same time is a good way to get reach, after viewing the story they will most likely view your profile and see the new post.

Everything should be in a complex. I post 1 post per day and about 10 stories. Stories are no better than posts, but they are also very important.

Posts help you create a good looking feed and attract users once they first see your brand. You can also make posts more informative, with detailed descriptions below.
Stories are interactive, you can ask and answer questions, post votes etc
