Hey guys.
Currently I got an an account with 1k+ followers and i'm selling a product from Aliexpress.
My engagment per post its like 80%, to much saves on pictures, send via direct messages, comments, expect likes.

This is what happens:

User buy it > I go to Aliexpress > Order the item to MY HOUSE > Item arrives to my house (~20 days gone) > I take and ship it to my client > Profit

Item costs 2/3$ I resell it for 11$.
Package = 1$
Shipping = 2$
Time spent probably will be ~30min

Total profit = 5/6$
Average orders per day = 1/2

What if I sell it for only 7$ for eg but the process goes like:

User buy it > I go to Aliexpress > Ship it to the client > Profit

Item cost 2/3$, reselling for 7$
Package = 0$
Shipping = 0$
Time spent probably will be ~5min?

Total profit = 4/5$
Average orders per day = 10??

The orders per day probably will explode since my all competitors sell it for 10$+.

Is this a good idea? Lower price = More orders = Less time = More money?!

Thanks.

Well a lower price doesn't automatically mean that you will get more orders. But sure you can try, also the shipping time will be faster.

I just need to talk with some influencers, give my product, they share it and I got a lot of orders IF I had the price like that because like I said my competitors are selling it 10$+.

How many products are you selling?

If you think it is sustainable do this:
1. Go to Alibaba, search for your product, contact some manufactures and ask for prices (MOQ) also if they could customize package etc.
2. Ship 300 products (or how many you want) to your house
3. Every time you sell one send it from your house

Positive aspects:

- Much much lower delivery time
- Much lower product costs for you / therefore higher margins
- Less work for you

Negative aspects:

- Kinda risky
- Thats not dropshipping anymore
- You might have to incorporate, pay taxes etc.

Sending items directly to the clients is a must for dropshipping. (my opinion)

However, the price thing doesn't work like that. You can still sell 1/2 units even you sell it for $19. OR selling it $7 may not increase your sales. You should test and find the optimum price point.

That's a perfect plan, however, you should have 1/2 hero products. If you have a range, it's not an executable idea.

Either buy in bulk, or private label your products from white label sellers. And use ePacket for faster shipping

Thank you all for taking your time to help me.
The question is that I really don't want to invest in bulk (1000$) on my item to get it to my house.. so I think start dropshipping it to my clients will be a good idea. I want to stop taking it ship to my house. I don't care if my client need to wait 20 days to get the package.

Trust me, 20 days delivery feels like 1965 to customers. Find the balance between these 3 elements:
Quality
Price
Approximately to the majority of your customers

Did you set up a website for the ordering process? I'm sitting on a 10k followers account and plan to monetize it.

Yes. Wordpress + Woocommerce
I'll launch it tomorrow maybe and I'll see how costumers deal with it
