IG doesn't like bio links

Hi guys,

I saw a lot of people complaining around that they got hit and can t keep their links in bio since few days ago

We have also experienced that on few of our 250 accounts that we run in the phone farm

What has been your experience so far ?

I am not sure about it because it has not affected my accounts yet.
It could be an update being applied to some regions or pages but not all.
If that happens, then what use will the bio be?

It s mostly on OFM accounts so perhaps they don t like ofm models or something
 
They don't have a problem with brand name in the description and as a watermark (sometimes in both cases to avoid spamming) do they? People on ig don't just come and look at one post or profile do they? They are all snoop doggy doggs, digging deep in your whole profile for a few minutes at a time, if you are interesting enough on the first hook. Use that to your advantage and sprinkle your brand name and key words about the place.

i have noticed people talking about this as well but i m not sure whether it is an overall thing from instagrams end or on an account level or maybe for speciffic domain links. i would try out various combinations before making such assumptions.

is this only happening on months old ig accounts or also very aged?
 
What is going on? It actually has its own account, though I haven't noticed any impact yet; we probably need to look into this further.

this may be due to account age, domain reputation, or just becuz OFM accounts are more affected. I would test this connection on various old and new accounts. If failure occurs on certain accounts, then it is not really an IG issue.
 
So it really depends on if the account is old or new, as if you put bio links in new accounts they straight up ban you now. And it depends on the niche somewhere as well. How many accounts of yours got hit, And did they hit with verification or just banned you directly?

frankly speaking, I don’t think it is fair to state that it is a problem on IG, since it may relate to the account age, reputation of the domain or niche.
to begin with, I would try testing this option for both old nd new account to see if there is an issue. If there is one for some account only, then it definitely is not the link itself.
 
It may be worth checking the domain reputation too, as the same link can work on one account but get restricted on another.

Yeah, me too. I always try to keep my bio URL clear and aligned with my website/account, particularly when I’m making changes to my domains/redirects. It helps to avoid false flags.
 
instagram flags bio links that look spammy or redirect too often, so using a linktree or a simple landing page usually passes, but direct affiliate urls get shadowbanned
 
Direct links get accounts throttled, I tend to avoid any kinds of links or brand mentions in bio’s. Especially with newer accounts that haven’t been properly warmed yet.

Recently, Instagram conducted a large-scale algorithmic review and tightened its regulations. This move directly impacts models involving the management of large numbers of accounts.
 
Could be a trust issue with certain domains. I’d check if the same links work on older accounts before assuming it’s affecting everyone. Are you seeing the links removed automatically or getting an error when adding them?
 
Yeah, Instagram seems stricter with bio links lately. I’d check Account Status and make sure the link isn’t triggering any spam or safety flags.
