IG Business Account vs Regular Account

Can anyone give any insight on what the major/beneficial differences are between the business and regular accounts? I know business has access to analytics but what are the other advantages.

I read an article that advised businesses to reconsider switching to business accounts because of what facebook did to pages. You know...low visibility in feeds, page boosting, that type of thing.

What do you think?

I've noticed a significant drop in engagement since I switched to a business account. Anyone else experiencing issues
 
Most people suffer an engagement drop when upgrading to a business account.
 
Your engagement has nothing to do with personal / business account.
 
The engagement drop when you have business account is a myth.
 
So the only thing that business accounts really get over personal ones is analytics? Is that all?

I'm also interested in the differences/advantages of both. I can't imagine switching would alter engagement, but I haven't yet switched so I don't know.

If you switch to business account, you get a "Contact me" button on your page. If a user clicks that they can send you emails or call you (If you allow it)
 
I think you are able to see engagement statistics also.
Time your followers are most active, how much engagement youre getting per post, etc
 
engagement and natural follower growth drops after switching to business... and never goes back again :(
wish i could rewind time and never switch to business account :)
 
I've never had a business account, but I've been hearing for a while that engagement drops significantly.
 
Switched to Business Account about a month ago without any change to engagement.

Additions in Business Account compared to Personal Account:

1. Blue Contact button at the top of profile (allows you to Call, Email and Get Directions)
2. Category below Name (Company, shop etc.)
3. Insights at the top of profile and under each post (analytical information)
4. Blue Promote button under each post (ads)
5. Addition of Address (shows address in map when clicked)
 
The biggest plus to switching is your account becomes hack proof.

Since hackers can't unlink the Facebook account from your ig without logging into the fb account and ig doesn't say what fb account was linked so they don't even know what fb account is linked.

6. Cannot be Private.
