Iframes + IE

Hey all,

I'm iframing a merchant site that requires cookies be enabled for the content to appear. This works just fine in FF and Chrome, but IE triggers a 'you need cookies enabled' page on the merchant site. Is there a way to force IE to accept cookies from the Iframe'd site? I tried searching around on the boards but came up empty.

I've found a solution to the opposite problem, where your own site is being iframed in an external website. In that case you need to pass the P3P policy in the html header.

But since i dont control the remote server, I can't pass anything with the header.

I highly doubt that you "can force" the visitors browser to change settings and accept cookies because it would be a huge security risk. Internet Explorer got improved over time and this kind of stuff, VBscripting exploits, ActiveX exploits are no more working.
The best thing you can do is to detect this on your website and send a notice to the visitor before he reaches the merchant's website.
