Hello guys,

If you would start learning development today but your goal would be to find a job as soon as possible,
Would you start with Javascript or C# / .NET?

I appreciate all kind of answers.

Thanks.

Frontend programming languages should get you a job faster, than a backend languages.

If you want to freelance... You could start picking up basic work on Upwork with javascript rather quickly. There aren't nearly as many C#/.net gigs available though

I'm c# developer mainly but javascript has more jobs potential, if you want to get job your learning path could be : html/css > javascript > react library.

You could add react native after that to be mobile developer also.

Better way to combine it. Imagine you have enough time to learn js and .net together. In this time you can develop web applications with frontend and backend part and as background after 6 months you will know js framework (React, Angular, Vue, whatever) syntax and c# that you can use in mobile (react native + xamarin), software development (electron + .net core).
I don't think you can easily learn something so quickly, reason why you need time to understand how it works under the hood and know some shit moments.
