I was watching Shawshank Redemption again recently (I watch it once every 2 years or so cuz such a great movie), and it got me thinking about a few things.
Some people are in there for so long that they become "institutionalized" and they actually find life easier and simpler inside than to be freed and released back out
in society where they have nothing (no skills, no jobs, no contacts etc).
So which countries in the world have the best prisons if you were to go to one?
I think I've seen a few yt videos about how amazing prisons in Scandinavian countries are (Norway, Finland?) or some other countries in Europe.
Obviously poor countries and regions like South America, parts of Asia, Africa are no go.
America seems to be pretty bad too for a first world nation.
