if you sell ebooks i need your help with strategy

i have a blog in a health related niche. i just finished my first ebook and it is around 40 pages long. i've put in affliate links to products i recommend and blah, blah, blah...adsense blocks on the blog, affiliate banner and all that..

my question is if i should charge anything for the ebook? my goal is to build a list and i have plans on how i want to monetize it later. so my initial thought is to give it away for free. i've done a vid to promote it and will put it out there in about a week.

any advice on my strategy and if you would charge for it or just be patient and build a list by giving it away for free.

looks like the consensus is what i thought and to give it away. if anyone else wants to chime in i will take into account. thanks to all.

if you are looking to make money through CPA then give it away for free, if you are looking for fast, little money then go for paid

You give your ebook away but the person has to get it via a CPA page. Then you get paid by the merchant. There's GOTTA be health related CPA offers out there.

forgot about incentivized offers, biks. probably not for this ebook, but i think i will use that one for something else. thanks again for that idea.
