If you had the opportunity to post something on a group with 500,000 friends, what would you post? how would you monitize your post? This post will show up on each and every members wall, so what would you do to make money from one post??

How do you know the friends? Is the a central base for the list? I mean do the 500,000 people all love basketball or fishing? If you can identify that, post something around that. If its just a random list, then do you have any demographics? Is it 50+ males or 18yr old females? Where do they live etc? Get as much demographic info as possible and shoot for something that market would be likely to go for.

If in doubt reference "all marketers tell stories" by Seth Godin. Tell a story and put a product with it.
 
well what do you think the average person would be interested in? they arent targeted friends, just half a million people. maybe CPA? a weight loss product? what would the general population be interested in as a whole?
 
If I have one post, I think I do something aside from money-making. I try to say something that means a lot to me.

Not that I blame any of you guys for monetizing the opportunity. :D

@OTrap - I think I'd try to say something that means a lot to me AND tell them to visit my website that talks about that thing even more. And then I'd monetize the site. Make a difference and make some money at the same time. :)
 
After you decide what to post make a VIRAL website using the website script..im sure you'll get quite the amount of visitors

Create a fan page that something to the effect of "I can't believe stuff like this happens everyday...." And then make your post point to the new page....build it up....and start using CPAs.
 
Okay, in that case, it's be something biz-opp related. I think that can target the widest audience in theory (what person out there, if offered extra money, doesn't take it?).
