Imagine you launched a brand-new site with no backlinks.
What would be the first thing you'd focus on during the first 30 days, and what would you avoid completely?
There are so many different opinions, so I'd like to hear what has actually worked for people here.

I'd start with every free entity/citation platform, with an aim to get my site recognised as a proper entity. Then some broken link outreach, and work on link bait opportunities (tools/data etc). No tiering for the first few months, then hit the citations I built earlier.

I'd focus on social sharing in the first 30 days to get some initial visibility and bring real visitors while publishing quality content consistently.

I would focus on proper content creation and getting high quality guest posts from day 1.

i wouldd spend the first month figuring out which pages are actually worth building links to. I've made the mistake of putting links into pages that were later merged, rewritten, or changed. Now I wait until the content has settled before investing in backlinks.

I won't go for any free links or for automated links. I will go for niche edits with a high-authority, high-traffic blog with few links first

honestly the biggest issue with new sites now is just getting indexed. i wouldn't buy any expensive guest posts or niche edits in the first month because half the time the pages don't even index properly without some initial trust. i usually just build out the brand social profiles (twitter, fb, pinterest) to get some basic pillow links and run a cheap search ad campaign to get google to crawl the site. avoid heavy exact match anchors early on, it just screams manipulation to the algo. let the site breathe first.

I will look at the competitors to see if they get a free oportunity like what sites they use to rank in this way i can spot if is an oportunity to not lose time

If it's a new baby, I'll only focus on on page and thinking to make a valid content silo first. Finding the right and long tail keywords is the most important thing you can do.

You shouldn't do link building for a blank domain without much content. Try to focus on content for the first 2-3 months (at least)
