If you could target any niche, which would it be?

The million dollar question. If you could game any niche on the net, which would be the most profitable? I have an investor willing to back me in a major SEO drive, if we can find the right product or service to sell at the end of it... I have ideas, of course, but always keen to what the good folks of BHW have to say on the matter?

If you're looking for semi-attainable (or even realistically possible) niches I have quite a few I'd be willing to pass on for the right price out of my keyword journal.

Just avoid pharma choices and you should be fine (mostly because you don't want to deal with the manpower it takes to run a pharma company online because of the customer demands).

Most people will be saying "viagra, cialis, propecia" or whatever, but my suspicion is these terms don't make as much as you think.
There are some big terms out there, that you wouldn't think would be easy to capture, but actually are decently simple... mostly because SEOers and poorer people in general have no idea what they are but wealthy people and companies pay out the wazzoo.
If you're looking for tangible products... there's so many diff niches with profit margins >300% that I gave up long ago cataloging the ones I stumble across

cutting down the jokes from there , on personal opinion I think best niches ( in terms of profitability of course ) in long run will be 1. webhosting ( with everything included there like ssl/domaning and so on ) ; adult ( with all the nasty things from it and yes gay's have moneys too contentcreatin :) LOL ) ; gambling this days seems to be just weak since lack of americans moneys ... ; and financial niches ( crads / loans ... ) .

If I was on your shoes , and if you have a very serious capital to backup your a$$ ... best bet I think this days will go somewhere into financial services :) you have plenty of chances there ...

One of the most profitable niche I've seen so far. People searching for medicine niches are often desperate for help, so they buy any kind of info or product that could help them.

But then again according to spammers Viagra seems to be indefinitely valuable..
