After having your current knowledge and with the ever changing game of online marketing/SEO. Where would you start? Who would you target? What advice would you give your self just starting out?

I would give myself a few simple tips:
If you have a (few) bad month(s) don't stress yourself. relax, persist and new things will flow to you automatically.
If you are on to something good, work like there's no tomorrow.
You can make money with everything, invest time and you'll become an expert some day.

much agreed. Start off small, and go with people that you want to invest your time into.

I'd go after the keywords that aren't as competitive because they are much easier to rank for.

I would focus on one project until it's profitable. Back in the early days I started 100 different web sites and while several of them were profitable, if I had stuck with one or two good ideas I would probably have made 100X more from those.

I would start in 2009 and put every penny I have into bitcoins.

If I had to start over I'd tell myself to build a list and to focus on ranking for lower keywords as they wouldn't have as much competition and it would be MUCH easier to get the top spot (both of these are big mistakes that I made when I first started).

I would focus upon multiple sources of traffic. Social media should be leveraged effectively for daily constructive traffic generation.

If I would start at 2009 I would sell everything that I had and turn it on bitcoin. I heard somewhere that bitcoins was worth less than 1 penny.
