If you close your ebay account...

Will they still have you and your paypal on record after deleting the account?

I had to delete an account about 6 or 7 years ago and I don't believe that it affected my latest account.

A friend had asked me but I can not remember?
Can someone help?

Yes, they are keeping your information in their database. Random checks may appear.

One more question to accompany my first then:

If he puts everything under his girlfriends name (ie different address, phone number, even different ISP).. but it still links to his paypal.. will that affect him as well?

They will find out eventually.

I am not really trying to do anything. I have a sellers account with limited value that I can deal with for now. I actually called eBay and gave a story to get my account raised.... and after a few months I've been able to make some decent cash off of some rare childhood toys and out of print cds. I just got laid off so I need quick cash and I figure its a decent way to build up good ratings until they actually raise my account to a respectable level for sales...

He, on the other hand, was down some money at one point due to sports betting and was poor to the point that he couldn't afford shipping costs. Literally, he was in so much debt that if he tried to pull out of paypal it would be eaten by overdraft charges (neglected to ask us for help which was probably a mistake).

He now is good with money but his ebay account got crushed with negative feedback and he wants, basically, to start anew with buying and/or selling if he can.

I know it doesn't really pertain to the theme of this forum. It just seems like you guys have knowledge on this type of stuff.

Paypal wont be able to link it back to him if there is no similar info used as the previous account.

Address, ip, phone no., credit card or vcc, all need to be in a different name.
All previous cookies should be cleared.

Dont use the same bannk account either, tell him to open a new one.
PP cannot find out what the bank account owner name is because bank dont share that info with them.

The only time they'll see his name is if he adds funds to PP thru his bank account.

Here's another one then..

Before this forum I didn't know that paypal had different types of accounts. I know him and I both have premium accounts. Neither of us had any problems with the amount of money we kept in or withdrew.

So. Would it be wise for him to take his bank acct out of his paypal acct and add his girlfriends or just start a new one all together for her?
