I use PAA mainly to make the articles longer and answer the most common questions my readers (might) have.
Less PAA by google is good... more space for organic results.

This has already been discussed a few times - it's not really a huge issue.

Still easy to get tons of PAA content, though Google can be very finicky and tends to do soft blocks when scraping too fast - they'll still show SERPs but will not return the PAA section. Likely Google experimenting as they do so often, but PAA content isn't likely going away for a while.

I use PAA for this same reason, 4-5 PAA questions as H2 with 50-100 words each to make my articles longer + i use them only if these PAA are close related to my main Keyword

Yes... very relevant stuff only... not even necessarily google PAA but very relevant questions to the article keyword(s).

PS: I use H4 but I believe it's not important... but like you 50-100 words.

PAA sites are loosing because people are doing it the wrong way.
Scrape the questions and answers and just post them that's duplicate content a big red flag.
Next all the articles are look alike/same structure Topic, Headings & Sub Headings all are questions.
Some of these sites don't even care to group these questions by relevance.
And the no of articles in short span are a big red flag.
And all these are multi multi niche websites.
People have banked hard while it lasts, but that's not for long term.

Just scrape PAA content from other PAA sites and put your own spin on things :D
Lol, don't give me ideas

I do the same but in H3, and they also work, so I can deduce that there is not much importance if it is h2,h3 or h4.

Paa still works. This is a website that I made and daily, I almost hit 30K clicks. I build links from my other domain microblife.in I got an expired domain and just published all the paa that I had. You can see the result :) Every day it is growing more and more.Screenshot 2022-07-24 at 15.29.51.png

One of the worst things you could do over here is to reveal your actual websites
