If .com .net and .org are taken - What next?!

I'm new to affiliate sites. I want to try this out and found a couple products I'm interested in promoting. The .com, .net and .org are taken. What extension would you try next? (I'm Canadian so I'm allowed to use .ca)

Since this product is such a long domain name of 25+ letters, i may just do what the #4 google ranked guy did and just chuck 1 letter on the end of the long domain name.

Would that be better than reg'ing:
1. exactkeyword.ca (6000 searches/mth for exactkeyword)
2. exactkeywordreviews.info (1000 searches/mth)
3. buyexactkeyword.net (30 searches/mth)

Since youre Canadian I would go for .ca

Thanks for the reply. Sucks .ca domains cost more than the others. Not much more ($10 on GD for .ca vs $3 for .info)

So, you think an exactmatch.ca domain would rank better then the others I mentioned?

.net is best out of the three you mentioned. However, I would personally purchase a .co if it was available. In my experiences they have proven to rank easier then my other domains.

I'll usually add something to the start like "the" or something to the end like "hub", "base", "online".

Do you mean 6k exact searches/mo are in Canada or do you mean the total exact search volume for "exactkeyword" is 6k?

i look for a cctld. if im selling lether handbags, i look for lether-handba.gs, not sure if it suits your requirements though, but yeah, the 3 tlds that you mentioned are the best for ranking

Unless your ranking it for Canada only don't use .ca, stick with com/net/org, if they are taken then add a word before or after the keyword thekeyword.com, ikeyword.com, keywords.com.

Damn.. guess I registered too soon then. No, I'm not ranking specifically for Canada. I just assumed an exact match would get a higher ranking/searches then if I were to add a word (any word?) before or after the exact keyword.
