I've always chosen .ORG's because they just seem a whole ton better.
I hardly see any .NET websites nowadays. But, it's your choice really. I just recommend .ORG as it's more common and easier to remember.

I've also been trying to compare my .net vs .org emd's for sites with same search volume and rank, both seem to bring same amount of visitors

Go for .net before .org. Iv seen TLD's go primarily like this: .Com -> .Net -> .Org -> .Co
From a visitor point of view, all things being equal, if I saw both .org and .net of the same name on the same page of serps, I would most likely click .org
I blame this thinking on .org being an abbreviation of organisation, coming across as more legit/authoritive. There is no proof that it is, just my thoughts on perspective from a visitor point of view.

Google likes .org more. Don't dispute or ask any questions, just trust me, lol. Choose .org

Get them both and use the one whichever suites your niche best. If it's an informative topic the .org could make the audience feel more trusting towards your site. Or you could build sites on both of them and take over the serps. Just remember not to host them on the same server/ip/etc.

In my experience, when I remember the name of a website, I usually remember that it's a .COM. If not, then it's a .ORG.
I'm not sure if anyone else remembers websites like me, but this is the way it goes for me:
.COM >> .ORG >> .NET >> .CO >> Anything else.

I'd honestly think .info would come after ORG unless you were branding
It doesn't matter really if you choose either .net or .org.
Sometimes the domain sounds and looks better using one or the other extension. If you're not branding a domain or website then the .com domain is not really that important. And either of these two extension will work in regards to ranking online.
But if you really want the .com then you should contact the owner and make them an offer they can't refuse. Don't forget to use escrow if its a large online transaction.
