Idle CPU buyer

Does anyone know of any legit services that will pay to run a program in the background of the computer? something like a cloud computing service to join or anything else that i just get some money for leaving a computer on and connected to the internet? (RDSL doesn't work cause i cant have them resetting the modem to change the IP.)

Have you tried CashGopher? It does stuff in the background... But you really will not make much. It is not worth it, I was making 5 cents/day not even worth me installing it. Do some IM it will pay off much better.

You can't compete with server farms in terms of computer power/efficiency. The only thing would be mining bit coins, but I think you've missed the boat on that one. Why not donate your CPU time to SETI@home or the protein folding one?
