IDEV Affiliate help

Can any one help me with understanding and setting up
the IDEV affiliate tracking software

I know i need hosting from some where to get it all
set up

one of main questions is does my website some how
have to tie in with the tracking software?
Or can i just have my website set up taking orders
with my linkpoint merchants account and
then have IDEV setup put in my info like my website url
and how much i pay out my affiliates
and when people sign up they will get a affiliate url wich
looks just like my site and i can track who made what sale

Your website whether it is a sales page, will need the tracking (sales) code added to the very end where you wish to credit only if your using pay per sale. For pay per click it uses unique ips, and tracks when they hit the click.php (which redirects to anywhere you wish)

And you can set it up for manual or auto on either to approve sales etc.....

You can also set it up with numerous shopping carts and other software in which basically you just point it in the config to the setup (all self explained on the admin panel)

You can also setup how much percentage if you setup with affiliate referal % all sets up automatically.

Theres millions of options its to advanced for me to explain everything in detail on a forum, but every little detail is self explained on the setup in the admin panel under each option.

Just make sure you back yourself up if your doing pay per click as people could easily load up a proxy clicker and earn, so make sure refering urls are legit and other things you can tweak to be even more secure.

Idevaffiliate is also well known for being exploitable as you havent stated which version i cannot help exactly as each version has its own exploits.

Always buy software like this then you can keep up to date with current exploits and patches.

i havent bought IDEV yet i did look it over and seemed pretty simple to use

All i need need it a simple affiliate tracking software i have a online/offline product
i think people could make some good money with and i want it set up as a pay per sale

and have a way of keeping in touch with affiliates though email for monthly sales contests


so is there something simple i could pick up to do that? Or should i just stick with IDEV and have the tracking (sales) code added?

Idevaffiliate would suit you and is pretty cheap, you could have a pirate version im sure but youll need to patch it up and other things pretty nice.

It can do all that you wish and even change certain affiliates to higher rates with more sales etc...

Meaning give affiliates that are sending 100 sales a month a higher profit and other little extras. There is postaffiliate, phpaffiliate and 100s more. I always liked Idevaffiliate, i would use this until you establish yourself and then if you need anything else modify it to your needs.

They also have commisionalert for your affiliates that sits in the tray (of windows) and pops up when they make commisions so it is pretty decent for the price and its easily setup.

I see you have a hosting service Harro could i get a package from your site
to host the software? Wich one would you recomend i need to get the job done?

Any hosting will work including the one in my signature. It just depends how much bandwidth your planning, and if you have a million clicks coming in its gonna use some CPU power

Depending on how big you plan its gonna be get specs suitable....
Simple VPS could not hold a huge affiliate program simple as that mate.
