Identifying a good directory for submission?

Hi Guys,

Got a question regarding submission directories. Is there a method or tool that allows me to check the outbound links for a directory, site-wide, not just for a single page? Ive tried using OSE for this, and could only seemingly get it to show outbound links for an individual page, not the domain.

I ask because I do not want to waste time submitting to say a directory with PR but has 10k outbound links for example. Ive heard and read a great deal of differing things on the number of outbound links a directory should have to make it worthwhile submitting to. A reoccurnig figure seems to be outbound links less than 400 site-wide to make it worthwhile.

What are your thoughts on this?

Don't take much headache. Just checkout the PR of the directory and find a related category of your site. IOf you don't find your related category, then don't put your link there.

You can check the directory by the following things.

1. Page Rank of the home page and inner pages of that directory.
2. Domain Age
3. Alexa Rank
4. Layout
5. Categories
Etc

So number of outbound links isnt important?
