Ideas with News Blog Traffic

Firstly, I would like to thank blackhatworld, it's a ton of overwhelming information. I am a "so-n-so next-to-nothing" computer programmer and I have been following this forum for quite sometime.

Okay, back to the topic: I have developed a script that generates current news articles every 2-3 minutes from news sources. At the end of each day, removing duplicate news, I am left with more than 300 articles daily on average.

I am sending a link and the description of the news article to a twitter handle, along with a few related hashtags. Getting 5-10 visitors for every article. Trying to increase twitter followers is my next goal. After a month or two, I will try to submit my site to Google News.

Till then, how do I bring some more genuine traffic to this site?

I think you already know the answer to your question. If a single Twitter account allowed you to generate 5-10 visitors every article, then a larger social media presence would generate x amount more visitors per article.

Thanks for the reply and showing interest loldrops! I wish to keep that script for myself for now, and learn the art of generating genuine traffic for my site :-)
I have created a Facebook Page and I am posting my link there too. Let me see, how far I can drag this myself.
 
How targeted is your twitting and following? For example when you scrape a news source about president trump are you following and tweeting people who would love to visit the news article, share it and maybe click some ads? As in politically focused people.
 
Hello jamie3000. My twitter handle has no followers at this time. I was fully dependent on hashtags till now, and the hashtags were bringing in 5-10 pageviews at most. Following and tweeting relevant people directly, without crossing the limits of spamming should be my next goal with the script I think? Thanks for the hint :-)

You create news automatically from the source. Using AI or simply crawling news and filtering duplicates?
 
You can try can try reddit hope you will able to generate lots of new traffic. You need to focus also others social media like facebook, goole plus , linkedin etc.

It is hard to create value for the reader. I also have a similar news crawl tools, It can filter duplicate information and automatically post to CMS. But I find it hard to increase traffic for this blog
