Our clients are happy with the SEO services we are providing, basically because we deliver good, consistent results. But I feel we need to add something extra, something my competition does not offer. A dashboard? ORM reports?

I just want something that doesn't take more than a few hours from my team. If is a solution another company provides (like a dashboard), it needs to whitelable and translatable. I don't know, I'm kind of blocked here.

Any ideas? No matter how crazy they are, I'm looking for inspiration.

    Thanks!

    Any review copies available?

Seriously, though, it's hard to offer suggestions without knowing exactly what it is that you provide. A dashboard should be standard, even if offered at a premium. People like to see what they're paying for.

I should have started explaining what I do: I provide SEO services to medium and big size companies.
We send monthly reports to our clients.

    - Turn them into referral machines with the added bonus of receiving a discount for referrals instead of cash.
    - Loyalty programme. The longer their retainers are, the less they will pay (obviously work out some sort of plateau structure)
    - Written letters & small gifts. People love receiving gifts, even if it's a $5 gift. Handwrite a letter to thank them for their business or maybe a seasonal greetings letter to make them feel special.
    - Training sessions. Give them some "free" training sessions. I've seen this work extremely well if done correctly. It's a long process but it does work, basically, you invite clients to be trained on a new technology/strategy, for example you'll teach them the basics on local SEO and you'll show them what value it can provide them, at the end of the training, you'll subtly make them aware that this is a new exclusive service you're providing to clients.
    - Free trials. Expand your business by offering your existing clients a free month of social media marketing or email marketing or whatever you want to, then introduce this as an added service.

Offer A/B and Multivariate testing and targeting. There are a few white-label services you could get. Most people that spend money on driving traffic to the site would spend some cash to optimize conversions. Contact me if you need any help with that.

Send them thank you postcards and gifts. After upgrade, after business deal or for holidays. High quality hand written postcards or neutral, but high quality gifts make big difference. Even gift baskets to the marketing department will do.
This way you will build more quality relationship that will let you to build up your business with them easier.

You will tend to find with medium to large companies, the employees do not care a LOT about who they hire to do SEO. As long as it makes them look good, you are the same as your competition.

As others suggested, a simple personal gift will easily make you stand out to people who really do not understand SEO but have a job with a big firm.

The approach is different for a small business where they actually care, so with those the one on one training, free email marketing, ect will win them over.

For the large, a nice bottle of scotch / wine and something they can get kudos from with higher ups (Such as a tip on a new market such as Social Media) is all they want.
