Ideas on Marketing Amazon Kindle on “Navy SEALS”

Hello mates,
a close friend (former US NAVY SEAL) and all around great guy just published an Amazon Kindle. I'm looking for some marketing ideas I could pass along to him...this is out of my realm of expertise (Kindle, that is). Free, some BH, and paid methods are all open for discussion.

Aside from the expected, "Try the search button" and "Don't come asking to be spoon feed" responses I'm sure I'll get, you guys have always delivered.
