Ideas Needed to help a charity close to home!

Hey Guys

Need some help or advice. There is a grant of $3million going to deserving charities at the moment. One of my close family members suffers from a disease that one of these charities are trying to get some of the money for research. It is a little known disease and because their is no monetary profit to be made from a cure there is not enough funding to continue and produce results for a cure for this disease.

There is only 2 days left to vote for which charity should get a share of the money. This is being done on Facebook. What I want is to know if you have any ideas how we could get more votes for this charity within 2 days?

Any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated.

Go to facebook groups / forums that people or family members of people with this disease gather and ask for their help? Usually the only people who will help your cause are those that identify with it, like sufferers and family members.

Thats the problem there is not enough people. Trying to create more votes for this charity so they can get their share of the $3m every little helps

Buy facebook "likes" from multiple sources here. Take out Facebook ads and ads on email lists related to the charity. (It does not have to be directly related.) Alternatively simply request that the owners of those lists send out a special request to their readers. Write out the request for them and include a link to the FB contest/page.

Was thinking on doing that and hopefully the likes turn into votes and shares too
