Of course ideas need to be implemented and executed......properly.

But from my exp. hardest part is to find ideas, I spend days on thinking, and while most of the ideas I can execute in day or two, even in few hours....

weird ha? not really.

And working constantly, on ideas is it a work? yes, and actually it is harder work than execution itself........but maybe its just me.

On the contrary, I don't think I'm ever short of ideas

It's more about execution and I do jot down ideas that come to mind at random in my notepad but I just don't always revisit them
